A total of eleven family members stayed at Fascadail Country Guest House for a week in July 2023. We occupied all five bedrooms. Everything about our stay was perfect. Our host provided breakfast every morning including hot items like pancakes, bacon, eggs, pure Vermont Maple syrup, etc. as well as fruit, cheese, yogurt, cereal choices, fresh bread, milk, juice and coffee. The house has a stunning view of the Scottish Alps across Loch Long, on which it sits. It is beautifully outfitted with an ensuite bath for every room. The breakfast room and living room both have a bay window overlooking the loch. Out front is a lovely and large seating area. Brenda is the gracious, friendly and most accommodating host. She was simply delightful. The location is ideal for day trips to such locations as Glasgow, Edinburgh, and St. Andrews. The ScotRail line to the Highlands stops at the Arrochar/Talbert station a few blocks away. Nearby castles such as Stirling and Inverary are short drives. Snowball is the canine host and she is as sweet and docile as she can be. We felt like we were at a close friend's home all week. You won't be...
Read moreLovely place but unfortunately our dogs were attacked at a pub in Arrochar on Thursday. We asked if the owner could keep the little dog out of the breakfast room as ours were still very upset after being attacked. Were told by an American lady who worked there that it was our dogs fault because at breakfast on our first day, our dog, which was on a lead, snapped at their dog which wasn't on a lead, as dogs sometimes do. She said we should have left them in our room. Most places ask that you don't do that but we would never do that anyway, particularly not after they had just been attacked. I personally would not recommend this as a true dog friendly...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to the Highlands. This Guest House is very beautiful and it is in a great location - the view is fantastic! It is clean, the room was cozy, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and freshly made. We had no problem with the parking as well. And you can get a lovely cat and dog therapy during the stay :) We took a chance and had an afternoon tea. That is something, that everyone should try, even if you decide to stay somewhere else. That was a unique and personal experience. I am in love with scones now :) The host, Brenda is a fantastic lady, we had great conversations with her. Thanks to the hosts that they have created such a beautiful place, where one wants to come back. Good luck with their...
