Flamingoland is brilliant for families and groups of kids and adults both with and without disabilities. We have 2 children with neurological disabilities and the staff accommodated us very well. Both children were given a special wristband and another band for each of their carers (limited to 1 band only) which allowed them to gain non-waiting access to rides preventing upset. A concession was made so we could book swimtimes to prevent any 'major melt downs' from either of our children. The pool was great for our family, the staff around the park were fantastic. Everywhere was clean and tidy plus the caravans were situated within a short walking distance from the main centre where everything was going on. Caravan 'groves' are immaculately kept too. The zoo and rides were great with a good choice of shows throughout the day. We only caught 1 of the scheduled Evening entertainment nights (wrestling) which the kids loved. The downside is the price of the snacks, food and drinks which cost us (£100) for small burgers, fries, sodas and small icecream waffles for 4 people in the diner. It really wasn't worth the money. The Metropolis bar was much better value and nicer food for the same prices. If anyone is planning a visit; dont wear anything like perfume, hairspray etc that will attract the wasps which are plentiful there in warm weather. Take some insect repellent although the park is actively trying to tackle the wasp issue. Looking forward to returning to Flamingoland again in...
Read moreWell we went for easter mon to friday and got to say i loved it i wont go park for the day price when you can book this works out so much better as zoo some animal's dont come out till 11 and the talks are all day so if you want to do everything you need more then a day and some rides was shut one day so defo worth it doing a few. The staff in the rep house with the tiger is the most friendly person ive ever met my boy has specail needs and this man come out and got the baby headhog out to show him and spoke to him about the new squirrels they got. He does the talks to so on lemurs talk he was great best person in zoo smiles n friendly on every day. The reception on caravan are nuce to friendly thats what you want. Swimming is great the water wasnt cold like other places so bonus only problem i had was the young lads that work there are to busy talking and picking on kids that look young like my boy went in sauna with me and they come running in asking his age but a older man took a baby in and his daughter and nothing got said so should be same rule 4 all but apart from that its great. The entertainment was funny tiny oh my god shes bonkers so funny. Would defo book again and the supermarket isnt over priced like the food in park so we cooked instead of eating out all time. The chipshop in the park is over priced and not that nice kids was sick from it. But all in all go for the resort its great we went for gold package thanks...
Read moreWe took 3 of our grandchildren there and they didn't want to leave as they had an amazing time, the food in restaurants was good and reasonable priced. I couldn't believe the size of the park, the kids didn't mind queuing for the rides which looked terrifying to me but they loved them all. We went to the zoo a couple of times and the kids loved it especially the meerkats and the llamas. The swimming pool is really good and wasn't that busy when we went 1st thing in morning, but unfortunately my oldest granddaughter knocked out 2 of her teeth when she came down the waterslide, the staff were really good at dealing with her injury but wasn't much they could do with first aid, so we had to go to emergency dentist in Bradford he was excellent and saved her teeth. I am disappointed that I haven't had an email from flamingoland asking how she was as if they had had a lifeguard on duty at top of slide it wouldn't have happened. I don't think it will stop us going back again as it is very good...
