This is our home from home! From the minute we walked in the door we felt part of the family. The rooms are lovely and immaculately clean with a good view of the cairngorm national park, the beds were that perfect balance of not too hard or too soft. I can't praise the breakfast enough. Les is completely to blame for my not fitting in my trousers when I got home again! You can eat the evening meal with them for a small amount extra if you don't want to worry about finding somewhere in the village or Grantown-on-spey, and she even offers a pack up service for lunch - perfect if you are planning on making the most of the countryside. We used the family suite, a double bedroom connected to a room with 3 single beds with a shared bathroom between them. This isn't your hotel chic, but a good old style family bed and breakfast. If you want to feel like you are at home rather than in an impersonal hotel then I can't recommend this place enough. However if you want a tv in every room, beige and to feel like just another body through the doors, it isn't the place for you! The B&b is a converted pub dating back to the 1700s at least, with thick stone walls and they have kept the wooden bar, turning into a lovely breakfast bar around the kitchen area. You can feel the ghosts of a million...
Read moreWell what can I say and where do I even begin, this was the most memorable and pleasureful stay I’ve ever had in any B&B, and I’m a tour guide who has over hundreds of nights on the road. |From the minute I entered I was warmly greeted by Lesley ( Les ) the landlady and shown to what I can only describe as a wonderful suite/room which had everything from digital to WiFi power shower and copious amounts of space. |The place was immaculate and interesting and I was invited back to a large dining room table where other guests were chatting swapping stories and getting to know each other. We had a lovely lady from Germany telling jokes to a gentleman from Merseyside and John who is local was telling me about the history and mystery of Tomintoul. |Les was fantastic and played great music in the background and I truly felt like I’d met up with friends whom I hadn’t seen in a while. |The stay was so comfortable and the highland hospitality was an absolute credit to Les. I wish to stay here every time I’m in the vicinity or even not. I can’t recommend this establishment enough. Thank you Les for...

Our stay at Gordon Inn was something truly special. From the moment we arrived, Jon and Les made us feel completely at home with their warmth, humour, and easy charm. They have that rare ability to turn a simple evening into something memorable — sharing food, drinks, and laughter as if we’d known each other for years.
The sitting room had that timeless, relaxed feel — a cozy place where good conversation and a comfortable bit of smoke in the air seemed perfectly natural. It’s the kind of atmosphere that makes you slow down and simply enjoy being there.
The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, and the traditional Scottish breakfast in the morning was excellent — hearty, authentic, and cooked with care. Jon and Les have created a place that’s more than just an inn — it’s an experience that lingers in the best possible way. We left with full hearts and...
