Very disappointing, we’ve passed this place several times and today we decided to stop and although welcomed with a smile on arrival on asking what vegan options we could have to eat they had absolutely nothing to offer! I asked if they could provide a simple beans on toast but just got told no beans! In this day and age when more people are adapting to plant based healthy diets it’s very sad to see the lack of compassion for animals with no cruelty free alternatives in this popular wee village in Scotland the country who leads the way with kindness.

Worth a visit just to order the worst coffee in Scotland. SIt inside on the heaviest and most uncomfortable seats that deafen you when scraped along the floor. The coffee was not cheap and and quite disgusting. Instant, expensive and steamed to boiling point creating the thickest indigestable foam. Undrinkable. Removed with a shovel.

A very pleasant cafe in Tomintoul high street, with an extensive menu. This maybe seasonal opening, the cafe has good outdoor seating which is very helpful in summer months when the cafe is really busy. The staff are very friendly and happy to give local advice to tourists. The food is good quality and served quickly.

Good parking and that's about it for the good. Don't ask for any kind of good coffee. I asked for an Americano with half the water (bit like a long black) and was presented with a complete look of confusion, then a filter basket and a coffee bag (was over £4 for this coffee). I skipped the coffee. Bacon roll comes in a baguette, but too much bread for the amount of filling. Staff seemed to be at 6s and 7s with the various orders coming out, like it was their first week of business. Final straw was a 20p charge for a sachet of sauce. The food is not cheap in there, so their margin must be enough to cover some squirty bottles with cheap sauce in it. Not a...
