Checked in for one night, at Holiday Inn Bristol Filton 💚 All Holiday Inns are the same, right? Wrong! I was expecting a standard stopover at @hibristolfilton. I got so much more: 4-star comfort, 16 acres of greenery, a fishing lake, and a full-on health club with a heated pool and sauna. My room was spacious, spotless, and had all the essentials (and then some) - bottled water, a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, Smart TV, fridge - ideal if you’re travelling with medication or baby food, Dove bathroom products, and even a pillow menu. Every detail was designed to ensure a comfortable stay. The food? Way better than your average “hotel restaurant.” I’m still dreaming about that Superfood Salad (yes, I’m basic), and the salmon fillet was chef’s kiss. Breakfast was hot, plentiful, and hit the spot. Oh, and there’s a Starbucks inside, because chai lattes are life. Absolutely loved the Lobby Bar, which doubles as a coworking space. Lots of desks, comfy tables and chairs, plug points and free WiFi – that actually works! Perfect for work trips, weekend escapes, or pretending you’re on a spa retreat while secretly answering emails. There’s free parking too! 💚 Full review on my website! I recently stayed in a premium room at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The room featured a comfortable double bed, fridge, air conditioning, you can even watch Netflix (!!), and was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. While the exterior of the hotel appears quite dated, the interior is modern, tidy, and welcoming. The swimming pool is on the smaller side, but when it’s not crowded, there’s plenty of space to enjoy a proper swim. The dry sauna was also a nice touch and added to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, I was happy with my stay and would consider returning in the future. The hotel delivers good value and comfort, especially once you step inside.

We had a 200 mile journey for a hospital visit for our baby, having used holiday inn at Cambridge, we knew what to expect. This hotel did not disappoint at all Nikki the Bookings manager was excellent throughout, I felt she took the stress off us, the room had a fridge, fantastic air conditioning, which at 8pm it was still 29 outside, yet the wife slept under the quilt. we ate at the restaurant, and the food was superb, you definitely get what you pay for. There's swimming pool and gym also. The breakfast the following morning was great, we went for the cooked breakfast which also included the contential as well.

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were fantastic in the main. Beds superbly comfy to sleep in, extra pillows provided on request. Room had fridge kettle and coffee maker. Extra supplies brought on request. Duty Manager Ash, dealt swiftly and appropriately with our complaint about mouldy toast. Chevonne was very helpful as was Kevin on front desks, plus the other two female staff. Kavin in particular became a firm favourites with his authenticity and genuine huge smile and eager to please professional friendly manner. The beds very comfy, the sofa bed light to have been turned around as though the mattress was exceptionally comfy the occupant has to clamber over metal framework that hurts back of legs when getting out of bed. Room temp was favourable as had air conditioning - fab view of lawn with rabbits and Canada Geese. Fridge was a huge bonus and complimentary water was excellent as weee were told by a staff member they would not personally drink the bathroom water. Toilet seat was loose and sliding off at one side which presented great difficulty for me as I had total hip replacement in May so had to hold on tight to the bath. This is cleaned every day so why didn’t it get picked up by maintenance?. I report until we were leaving as we were busy and I didn’t want them to think we just wanted to moan. I feel it’s offensive to charge guests £5 to park. Would prefer it added on to initial cost then offer £5 discount to carless guests. Car park managed by third party and mixed messages given from staff. Mostly we were told no fees if just dropping off people got 10-20 mins. My brother was told differently by staff who were apparently new that he did need a qr code to cover even though he was only there 2 minutes whilst we got bags and dropped us off as we traveled by train and I disabled etc Time will tell. In summary most staff were amazing. My guest said his booked breakfast was hot but he didn’t like the thick rind and bacon not crispy. Continental breakfast adequate with cereals, chocolate pain, danish pastries , cheese ham and bread. I did not see yoghurt but we were in a huge rush and did not have time even for coffee. Staff kindly brought out some additional pastries. I would stay again I think due to the bed and staff but will try somewhere else first for to the car park charges, intimidating and un welcoming cameras and signage with word that feel threatening to my family. Breakfasts better if you go downstairs and choose and see what you are adding to your plate. If I went back I would only have continental and that was £12.75 I think per person. If you get room service they are not hot even young they try their best with metal plate covers. The bedding and pillows smelled and looked fresh and clean and were exceptionally comfy and towels were clean and comfortable to use. Shower was very good and hot with extra strong metal grab rails however I did find it a bit difficult to get out as I am disabled and the shower screen only fold back In part. Thanks to the staff we had a pleasant stay. Hope that helps. For context - I’m 54 sable sand traveled with two 16 year olds. No inflatables were there and it was small but very pleasant pool, clean good temperature and chairs available. Spots centre staff very very friendly. Leaking ceiling on 2 x places one in gym and one in a hall end of corridor space but they were...

I have stayed here a few times and there are some plus and minus points in that it is a nice atmosphere, car parking is easy, location is good but the quality of the beds are poor and the food is hit and miss.

In addition to this I have used the conference facilities both in the week and on a Saturday. During the week it was superb and the team went the extra mile and I can't praise them enough. On a Saturday it is a very different experience.

On the food it is the same, I had a fish pie that was suppose to have prawns as well as other fish with a white sauce. There wasn't a prawn to be seen and merely a few flakes of fish on the bottom of a huge amount of what looked like microwaved potato. On the other hand my husband had the rack of ribs and this was really good. On our second visit my daughter had the children's portion of cottage pie and to be quite honest, I would have been embarrassed to have served this out [refer to fish pie experience!]. I had an Angus burger that should have arrived with skinny chips and arrived with fat steak chips which I hate. Someone needs to go through the menu card which I had feedback on my previous visit.

The children's bed was not made up and we had to call for room service and they were there straight away but the point is we were tired and this should have been checked first. We were also going to order from the Japanese menu but instead of being told at arrival that the restaurant was shut, we were told after we had chosen what we want and tried to phone it through. Again we were all tired and we held off ordering until the bed was made up!

If you are going to charge IHG rates then you need to ensure the experience is consistent and the quality of the beds and food are raised to better standards.

The lounge area is lovely, it is very airy and clean and the week staff were absolutely fantastic and I would still book a room but just not have the food as it is too...

Overall the hotel was very good. Lots of parking space. Reception was spacious and social distancing guidelines where in place and very clean with sanitizing stations on entry, at reception and dotted about for easy access.

The corridors were very clean and spacious, easy to pass persons while keeping a distance.

First room I was provided was basic, a little small but comfortable. However there was an issue with the room thermostat heating/ air con controls were not working. Reported to receptions which the gentlemen was extremely helpful by attending and trying to resolve. However, still flagged an error which he then provided a free upgrade. The second room (Executive) was superb, large, comfortable, fridge provided and a glorious comfortable relaxing chair which was so needed after a long day. PERFECT. Highly recommend the upgrade.

However, room service was good but if you request something with reception to be passed on to room service or vise vesa, they seem to lake in communication. first morning they never seem to have received my breakfast order so got delivered something different. Phoned up but would take to long to do, by then was having to leave for business. Second night asked for additional water and BBQ Sauce, it got missed off so had to re-order via phone. The room service person would not go back and just get for me. Another 5 mins on hold waiting for someone to answer.

This reflected in my review, and therefore lower scored. Shame as the whole hotel was lovely and reception really tried to appear helpful, but with lack of communication it all felt a little hard work...
