We are a family of 7 that spent 6 nights at the James John Hamilton House. I cannot describe how happy we were with the experience. The house features a massively large living-room, comfortable furniture and bathrooms for everyone. We also enjoyed the big screen T.V, smaller televisions in every bedroom and Netflix!
The town of Fishguard is also a delight. Everyone is wonderfully friendly and helpful. There are a host of great restaurants and an equally impressive number of quaint and quality pubs.
Best of all--there is Steve! Steve has to be one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met. He arranged to pick us up from the train station, renting a Taxi (he payed for it himself and refused to accept any re-payment) and driving his own car to carry our luggage. He also volunteered to help shuttle us back to the station when our stay ended.
Steve provides a super accommodation at a very reasonable price. This coupled with his amazing customer service (He will pretty much do anything for you) and friendliness made our stay at the James John Hamilton House the best vacation we...

The room was very comfy and equipped with a private bathroom where we were able to take a nice hot shower after a tiring day. The shared area both looks lovely and is well stocked for a social night. What they don't tell you is that a light breakfast consisting of fruit, cereal, tea and juice is included! This was a most welcome surprise in the morning.
What made the difference to our stay was Steve, the owner, who gave us a very good idea of what to expect on our overly-ambitious walk of the coastal path the next day. He checked buses and timetables for us and even gifted us a lovely book written by his dad, a guide, which splits the path into chunks and offers details about what to expect in terms of the land and wildlife. Thanks to the book we recognised a pair of peregrines when we spotted them!
Thank you for...

It is conveniently located near shops and pubs and there are beautiful coastal walks in both directions from the house, as well as an adequate bus service along the coast. The host is very welcoming and accommodating. There are guidebooks and local history materials...
