Lochside Apartments — Hotel in Great Britain

Stayed for 5 nights in April while in the area for an ice hockey tournament. One of the best holiday rentals I've stayed in. The owners have got everything right. Modern, comfortable furniture and decor. Well equipped kitchen with quality appliances and kitchenware. Gorgeous balcony with comfortable seating and a view over the loch. We were incredibly lucky to hit a spring “heatwave” and really make the most of it. The bedrooms are downstairs and there is an enclosed courtyard at the back with a large hot tub which we made good use of. Beds very comfortable if a little hot under heavy winter duvets. Bathroom downstairs and larger shower room upstairs. Castle Douglas is a super little town with some excellent restaurants. The Olive Retreat and the Kings Arms were both excellent. Two or three delis for lunchtime supplies and a fish and chip shop that sells ice cream. On the Saturday we discovered there's a parkrun right outside the apartment so bring your kit if interested. Beautiful apartment with lots of thoughtful touches. Modern, clean and tastefully decorated. Amazing view of the loch. Visited as family of four plus dog and all had a great time. Visited mid February and unfortunately weather was poor but would be amazing to stay in summer and be able to use the large balcony. Also lovely welcome pack and owner is very accommodating. ...

Great apartment. Stayed in number 2 this year and it was really good. Great view over the loch towards the hills. The hot-tub was amazing and the apartment was really warm. Location is great 5 min walk back into town that has some really got take aways and some nice local shops.
