I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights camping at Panpwnton Farm and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. This campsite truly exceeded all my expectations and provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
First and foremost, the location of Panpwnton Farm is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lush greenery and nestled right next to the tranquil River Teme, it offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere. Waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and the gentle flow of the river was an absolute dream.
One of the highlights of my stay was being able to take early morning dips in the River Teme. The crystal-clear water was incredibly refreshing and invigorating, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. It was such a luxury to have this natural oasis right on my doorstep.
Another fantastic aspect of this campsite is its proximity to the Offa's Dyke trail. As a solo camper, I was keen to explore the surrounding area and this trail provided the perfect opportunity to do so. The stunning views and picturesque landscapes along the trail were truly awe-inspiring and made my camping experience even more memorable.
The facilities at Panpwnton Farm were also top-notch. The campsite was well-maintained and clean, with ample space for camping. The toilet and shower facilities were modern and well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
The owner’s hospitality truly made me feel welcome and added an extra layer of comfort to my solo camping trip.
In conclusion, my two-night solo camping experience at Panpwnton Farm was nothing short of exceptional. From the stunning natural surroundings to the convenience of the Offa's Dyke trail, this campsite offers a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. I highly recommend Panpwnton Farm to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating camping experience. It truly deserves a five-star rating....
Read moreWe had a wonderful gathering at this magical campsite with several families. I had chosen it because it is set on the river, but the river in the summer is very safe for children to play and paddle in. It was a bonus that we found several deeper places where adults could dip and swim a little in the crystal clear waters. The kids caught loads of fish, tadpoles and several crayfish. Roxy's children even shared their toys with our grandchildren and much mud was moved. This place is very special indeed, for so many reasons. The campsite is nestled among wooded hills, and a short climb brings you to some glorious views. It's a very atmospheric place, with Offa's Dyke and footpath running through the site. The natural world is all around, lovingly tended by Roxy and Will in a sensitive way. We all loved the sheep, plus many birds and wild animals including a toad one of our grandchildren found in a huge hollow tree stump. The showers and loos were very clean and we took advantage of the kitchen. Everything has been so thoughtfully arranged. The little cafe was brilliant too, and very reasonably priced. This is a superb campsite, in a fantastic location run by lovely people. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay, and for sharing your lovely...
Read moreLiked: Absolutely everything. A real stunning location with a crystal clear run of the River Teme winding it’s way through the setting, very welcoming on a hot day! This is the second time we’ve stayed and we bought some friends in tow this time, all were completely blown away by the campsite. The facilities and policies are all top notch and set/managed by the excellent host, Roxy. The farm is a short scenic walk from Knighton which has everything you need should you need to buy anything, or just fancy a nice pint or bite at one of its pubs or restaurants. Also along the way there is a fantastic photo opportunity to get a leg into both England and Wales on the borderline! Heading the other way there are some fantastic saunters or hikes alongside the river or off up and over the towering hills. Oh and the local train track to Knighton also runs parallel to the site which is an awesome spectacle to enjoy from camp with a brew, it only runs a few times throughout the day and it’s well worth witnessing it! Topped off with amazing sunsets between the hills too, we really can’t fault Panpwnton Farm so therefore place this amongst the top UK sites we’ve stayed at and we’ll no doubt be back again soon. Thanks for having us again...
