when we first arrived the receptionist wasn't very welcoming , seemed a bit grumpy but as we checked it she was ok . the worst part was when she told my and my daughter that we were over I the annexe when I got there it was all stairs . (I use a stick) in fairness she told me later that she tried to see if she could get me into main building where there was a lift , but it was all fully booked .all the rest of our party were in the main building . ( susan the receptionist )was very nice in the end . don't think I would stay there again though .the room was nice and clean though as for the beefeater restuartant . the guy that served us need to go to charm school for manners . was very grumpy when asked what we wanted for breakfast told us very moodily to help ourselves to tea and coffee ect ect . that was only first day . the next day there was a few of us in for breakfast not all at the same time . but anytime he was asked anything he would throw his hand up in the air and moan about it . don't know his name but I think he was French or something . and again I don't think we would go to that restuarent again . I also know its no part of the premier inn chain but as they are attached to restuarent that why the get this review...

Put me off Premier Inns for life!!

Unfortunately as soon as we pulled up into the car park we could see how unkept the whole place looked.

The room was chilly, dirty and mouldy. Clearly the upkeep of this has been neglected as expected a lot better standards.

The bathroom was falling apart, skirting boards hanging off, mouldy shower head and a clogged up extractor fan with fluff (that had clearly been there for years), that no matter how long you kept on, would never absorb all the steam after having a shower.

The room was scruffy and clearly not been deep cleaned in years. The most shocking thing was the window sill which had black mould growing and actually furry fungi growing! We all had sore throats after sleeping in the room.

The breakfast, which is in a separate building at a Beefeater, which you have to go outside to get to, was actually ok.

Also the information leaflets for local attractions were dated from 2015! We asked if they had any up to date ones, and the lady behind reception said no!

This experience is a real shame as we’ve never stayed in such a run down and dirty Premier Inn. Should have booked the Travel Lodge down the...

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights last week. The hotel is in an ideal location for The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. Both reached by walking along the canal path. The room we had was in the annexe and was clean however parts of the bathroom could do with some small attention. Very good hot shower. The beds were comfy and there was a large TV on the wall. There was no noise from the nearby road, but we could hear the room above us walking around. A fan was given on request as the room was warm at night. The windows cannot be opened. Teabags, coffee, sugar, and milk in room on arrival and spares in the lobby to replenish when needed, without having to ask. Our breakfast order was taken and served piping hot by a polite and attentive member of staff, who also replenished the buffet and relaid tables quickly. The breakfast area was lovely, a shame they no longer open for meals in the evening, although we can recommend The Coppertop nearby. We were very apprehensive about staying at the hotel from the reviews but our experience proved ideal for us and we were not...

Although the staff are really friendly, helpful and hard working, they could do with a bit of help, with investment into the infrastructure of the building. The rooms are looking a bit tired now and could do with some redecoration. As with some other Premier Inn’s we’ve been to recently, it also appears that they are going through a reorganisation of the food delivery, where they used to be alongside a ‘chain’ restaurant, i.e. Beefeater, or Brewers Fayre, but are now running the restaurant themselves. In our case we got an email a few days beforehand, stating that there were staffing issues and, although there was no problem with breakfast, they could not fulfil the dinner part of our Meal Deal. Knowing that there were other Premier Inn’s in Falkirk, I contacted them to see if we could have dinner at one of those. The reception staff helpfully sorted this out for us, so we were able to take advantage of the Meal Deal. It was just a shame we had to go out of our way to do this.

Premier Inn is a UK chain of budget hotels. I have always found Premiere Inn to be consistent in meeting my expectations such as: Modern fresh looking rooms and public areas. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. A comfortable sofa - saves having to use the bed. This particular hotel was split into two buildings about 50 metres apart. The newer second building we stayed in was on three level but didn't have a lift, but we didn't need it. This building looked new but there was a smell of smoke lingering in the main entrance. Location is attractive and neighbours the Camelon Bowling Club (pictured) and Union Canal (pictured), the latter is ideal for walking, running and cycling. The first, main building is the location for the reception and restaurant (Beefeater chain). Overall a very pleasant stay. Recommended if all you need is a bed for the night. Cameron town centre is about 1km away.
