when we first arrived the receptionist wasn't very welcoming , seemed a bit grumpy but as we checked it she was ok . the worst part was when she told my and my daughter that we were over I the annexe when I got there it was all stairs . (I use a stick) in fairness she told me later that she tried to see if she could get me into main building where there was a lift , but it was all fully booked .all the rest of our party were in the main building . ( susan the receptionist )was very nice in the end . don't think I would stay there again though .the room was nice and clean though as for the beefeater restuartant . the guy that served us need to go to charm school for manners . was very grumpy when asked what we wanted for breakfast told us very moodily to help ourselves to tea and coffee ect ect . that was only first day . the next day there was a few of us in for breakfast not all at the same time . but anytime he was asked anything he would throw his hand up in the air and moan about it . don't know his name but I think he was French or something . and again I don't think we would go to that restuarent again . I also know its no part of the premier inn chain but as they are attached to restuarent that why the get this review...

Unfortunately as soon as we pulled up into the car park we could see how unkept the whole place looked.
The room was chilly, dirty and mouldy. Clearly the upkeep of this has been neglected as expected a lot better standards.
The bathroom was falling apart, skirting boards hanging off, mouldy shower head and a clogged up extractor fan with fluff (that had clearly been there for years), that no matter how long you kept on, would never absorb all the steam after having a shower.
The room was scruffy and clearly not been deep cleaned in years. The most shocking thing was the window sill which had black mould growing and actually furry fungi growing! We all had sore throats after sleeping in the room.
The breakfast, which is in a separate building at a Beefeater, which you have to go outside to get to, was actually ok.
Also the information leaflets for local attractions were dated from 2015! We asked if they had any up to date ones, and the lady behind reception said no!
This experience is a real shame as we’ve never stayed in such a run down and dirty Premier Inn. Should have booked the Travel Lodge down the...
Read moreMy daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights last week. The hotel is in an ideal location for The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. Both reached by walking along the canal path. The room we had was in the annexe and was clean however parts of the bathroom could do with some small attention. Very good hot shower. The beds were comfy and there was a large TV on the wall. There was no noise from the nearby road, but we could hear the room above us walking around. A fan was given on request as the room was warm at night. The windows cannot be opened. Teabags, coffee, sugar, and milk in room on arrival and spares in the lobby to replenish when needed, without having to ask. Our breakfast order was taken and served piping hot by a polite and attentive member of staff, who also replenished the buffet and relaid tables quickly. The breakfast area was lovely, a shame they no longer open for meals in the evening, although we can recommend The Coppertop nearby. We were very apprehensive about staying at the hotel from the reviews but our experience proved ideal for us and we were not...
