Very disappointing. We went along looking forward to a few drinks as we saw the sign outside the pub that said 'Quality Ales'. Unfortunately the pub doesn't have any ales so the sign is not only misleading but it's untrue. It looks fabulous inside with loads of character but after one drink we left to get a decent pint elsewhere.

Lovely little place steeped in history, wooden beams and warm fire creating a cozy ambience. Friendly staff more than happy to talk about the history. Good range of drinks available including tea and coffee.

Called in for drink and it's a lovely traditional looking place. Staff were pleasant and it's reasonably priced. Shame they didn't have a proper ale on,though they had a good choice of other beers.

Me and a group of our friends came in and kindly asked if the bar was open. We were told no so we asked go use the bathroom which was allowed. As we waited a man went up to the bar and one of our party saw the bartender tell the man to "wait 5 minutes" before being served. She then told us we had used the bathroom so had to leave. I was taking an emergency phone call at the time which was the only reason we had stayed. No one else was asked to leave so we found this incredibly rude as we weren't causing trouble and were literally just sitting there waiting on our taxi because it was...

My group of friends and I were misunderstood for another group of loud and drunk people. Still doesn't make sense to me as we came in very respectfully and caused zero trouble. Thought it was racism at first but turns out people assume that because its a young group of people, it means that we are all the same which we are not. Keeping my review as one star as it was still unfair that it happened and very ageist. Also did not appreciate the attitude as we got kicked out and watched other people...

They both.. and all the locals/regulars made us both feel really welcome..the pub has a cosy rustic feel & a very laid back atmosphere... we even got a drink sent over to us by a lovely mature couple..nice & friendly & cosy...& as basil fawlty would say..." no riff raff"... quality snug place well worth a...
