This is our go to hotel for when we visit Cornwall. Hayle is an absolutely beautiful place to stay; the beach is gorgeous, it's close to some amazing food places and it's a good place to stay to be closer to other beautiful places to visit in Cornwall. I highly recommend picking Hayle when you're trying to decide where to stay. The staff and service at Premier Inn: Hayle are absolutely amazing. They are always extremely friendly, helpful, and pleasant to speak to of you have any issues. I give my review of the hotel 4 stars and 3 stars for the room because of Premier Inn hotels in general - not just because of Premier Inn: Hayle. For the "standard double" room, the quality has really gone downhill; the only thing that stays the same is how comfortable the beds are (although the pillows are really hard and uncomfortable now). We've stayed in multiple Premier Inn's and we have the same issues every time - Premier Inn: Hayle is no exception unfortunately.
We had the following issues: Our first night, we were placed in a ground floor room; if you get placed on the ground floor, I would highly recommend requesting to move to a room upstairs because we could hear every single thing happening upstairs as it sounded like an elephant was walking around upstairs which kept us awake at night and woke up extremely early the next morning. I informed a member of staff and they were more than happy to move us to a room upstairs immediately. Slept amazingly well for the rest of my stay! There are no plugs either side of the bed; you have 1 USB port each side, however, these didn't work. The only plugs you have are the ones on the wall opposite the bed shower had to resort to buying an extension lead to use for the remainder of our stay so we could charge our devices/use the fan. -The water pressure from the sink tap and shower is horrible - It's barely a trickle. Trying the have a shower is annoying because it doesn't have enough pressure to push water towards the centre of the bath so you have to stand directly underneath the shower head which is extremely close to the wall and bath taps so you don't have enough room at all.
Personally, I think this is Premier Inn's way of trying to persuade you to go for the...
Read moreI've stayed in Premier Inns a lot and this has to be one of the best. Very good value for money. Check is was swift with polite and informative staff. The location is great on the A30, very convenient for the South west coastal walk. Despite being next to the main road there are no road sounds at all in the room. There is a restaurant next door (decent prices and menu choices, with children's play area), Mc Donald's, Starbucks, Boots chemist, Next and Marks and Spencer as well as a supermarket within a few meters walk. The room is one of the cleanest I have ever been in and appears newly refreshed. Very large bed, nice bathroom with bath and shower. Multi shampoo and body wash, liquid soap, towels and hairdryer all available in the room with kettle and tea and coffee (extra available in reception) for free. There is plenty of free parking right outside with downstairs rooms for anyone with limited mobility and the restaurant is on a single level. The room was very dark with thick curtains and plenty of plug sockets and decent TV. The only downside (and only because I'm really sound sensitive) was the constant drone of air temperature control which had no way of turning off. It didn't keep me awake but was just...
Read moreI phoned and booked the hotel for 6 of us to go on a gentleman's jolly tour of cornwall! When I phoned, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I had the rooms booked in no time. Fast forwarding a couple of weeks, we set out on our merry way to Cornwall! The hotel was really easy to find, straight off of the main road. On arrival, there was a lot of parking available so that wasn't an issue either. On entry to the building, we were greeted straight away and booked into our rooms which were all situated together. This was a quick process and bearing in mind, there was 6 of us, this was sorted out in less than 5 mins. On entry to the room, it was clean the beds were made nicely and overall, the hotel looked to be well kept. We spoke with hayden on reception numerous times about various things, he was always happy to help. A really good member of staff. We were able to borrow the iron easily and he helped us with phoning taxis etc. I think the key to a good hotel is having a member of staff like him! So all in all, I would definately rate the Hayle Premiere inn. A good central location, good staff, good service. I would definately go back...
