Read moreWhat can I say about this lovely old village pub, my husband and I have been coming here for years on and off. We love the homemade food ( no freezer or microwave here) huge portions and a lovely short menu with daily specials. I think they only open in the evenings out of season but that makes it so special and I reccomend booking ahead. Lovely staff and frequented by the locals who also eat dinner there regularly. I've never had a bad meal here and was reluctant to share with everyone i wanted to keep it our secret escape from the crowds in st. Ives where we live, but its nearly christmas and I'm feeling generous. Go and enjoy a perfect home cooked meal and soak up the village vibe . Merry christmas to all the staff and we will see...

I would advise booking. We went on a Tuesday night and it...
