Very nice traditional pub a real Hidden gem with an unusual view of a wonderful old railway bridge. Anough space for about 10 cars Clean facilities Friendly staff There is a waiter on so we didn't order from the bar although I'm sure they will. From the menu we ordered West Country pies chicken ham and leek with veg gravy in separate dishes and mash Steak and ale with chips and (beans that were not on the menu in separate bowl) Long wait but worth it very hot and tasty, (good quality pies, there was no grizzle here). good portions for 8.95 No chef Mike here (microwave) Afters Choice of 5... Chocolate brownie ordered only chocolate on menu with cornish ice cream or clotted cream.. 4.50 Well?? as above a little bit of a wait but worth it. We ordered this with cornish ice cream. It came very well presented with care, style, warm and I kid you not it tasted absolutely gorgeous, the chocolate sauce was real and rich with a couple of raspberrys for colour with a dusting of icing sugar, wow! This pub is a real jem but don't take my word for it just visit, if you get the same treatment we did you will not be disappointed. Last word please don't change anything we hope to be...

What can I say about this lovely old village pub, my husband and I have been coming here for years on and off. We love the homemade food ( no freezer or microwave here) huge portions and a lovely short menu with daily specials. I think they only open in the evenings out of season but that makes it so special and I reccomend booking ahead. Lovely staff and frequented by the locals who also eat dinner there regularly. I've never had a bad meal here and was reluctant to share with everyone i wanted to keep it our secret escape from the crowds in st. Ives where we live, but its nearly christmas and I'm feeling generous. Go and enjoy a perfect home cooked meal and soak up the village vibe . Merry christmas to all the staff and we will see...

We have visited a few times before while on holiday. I took my in-laws for the first time. They absolutely loved it. My mother in-law said the steak and ale pie was the best she's had at a restaurant. Second in taste to her own. That's high praise! The beef lasagne and the vegetarian one where so tasty. The portions are plentiful so only one of us had room for dessert. Apple crumble, it looked amazing. I wish I had room for it myself. When I asked them if they had enjoyed the meal they said 10 out of 10 and promotion to favourite daughter in-law for taking them! Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit. I would advise booking. We went on a Tuesday night and it...

We decided to visit angarrack lights on the whim due to not feeling very festive. My husband suggested that we stopped at the Angarrack Inn on the walk for a pint, food maybe if there was room. We were greeted very warmly and we were able to squeeze in on a table before a big booking. The service and food was outstanding! I’d highly recommended booking a table if you are wanting to eat during December. The traditional feel of the pub and Christmas music playing in the back definitely helped us get into that festive spirit. The cheeky take away mulled wine for the last part of the walk was the icing on the cake! Thank you!

A lovely little find. A cosy dog friendly pub. Home cooked meals. Prices £15-20 for a main meal. Childrens meals £8. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The steak pie was absolutely amazing. Full of meat, served with veg. One of the best home cooked pies I have tasted. Portion sizes were just right. We spent roughly £78.00 on two main adult meals, children's meal and side, 2 desserts, 2 pints and J2O. Worth the money. I will be revisiting again next year when on holiday.

There isn't a bad thing about this pub, not one single thing, the food was amazing, all homemade, you can really tell the chef cares about the food, and the lady that was running the bar was fantastic, so attentive and really welcoming. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere this is not an experience you can afford to miss. Would highly recommend the beef and ale pie and the mousakka, huge portions at a great price. Will definitely be returning.
