Zero stars aren’t available I have never in my life experienced such terrible customer experience from the ‘greeting manager’. Really crappy attitude from the offset and gave the impression she just didn’t want us there. Was barked at that we could have booked using the app and that they were completely full all night. We’d just spent a week camping locally and had booked the Premier Inn next door for a last night of comfort Arrived around 6pm to be told grumpily that we should have booked. The restaurant was almost empty? But all ok, informed a table would be available at 7:45. At 8:30 and yes, restaurant was about 20% capacity and nobody had let us know a table was available or not. We asked would it be ok for my son to use the play area, to be told grumpily it closes at 7. We were tolerant and decided to walk around to the play area at 6:15. More than happy to pay the full fee. Stood there for over 10 mins. Nobody around to take the £4.50 fee. Nobody watching the kids in there or serving. So walked away Spent 30 mins at least queuing for drinks, £25+ each time. Again, all ok, but the poor boy on the bar was on his own and trying to serve 8+ people over and over. Overheard him saying that a lot of the menu was now not available We gave up and walked over to McDonalds to get a takeaway. To the restaurant ‘manager’ despite how potentially understaffed you might have been a better welcoming and clearer messaging would have been appreciated. Appalling chain and will honestly never visit again. Is this the standard you set Brewers?

Went for breakfast twice here with my 4 children as it was included in our Premier Inn stay. Stood for 10 mins before a lady came and asked if we’d booked. I hadn’t realised we needed to book a specific time, I thought we could turn up anytime during the breakfast period. The lady very abruptly said there was no space at all for us that day. What she didn’t say was that premier inn have tables pre booked with them and that if we spoke to them they could book us in from their end. So we could have ended up with no breakfast at all (despite having paid for it!!) which on reflection would probably have been a blessing. Premier inn then booked us in 20 mins later. I said to the same lady that it would have been helpful if she’d explained the booking situation to us rather than just turn us away and she was very stand off ish. She told us to go and sit anywhere we could find which was incredibly rude and targeted because the people behind us were walked to their table. There were no plates left and we waited at least 10 mins for those. There was random cutlery at each table so we had to pinch more from other tables. There was mould floating in the Apple juice where the dispensers hadn’t been properly cleaned. Tables sticky. No staff around to ask if we needed help. Tables were left and not cleared away. Overall a poor level of cleanliness and pot luck on what breakfast options were left as once food was gone it wasn’t replenished. I wouldn’t eat here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Time before steak under cooked for my liking This is an update from the last time I went there for a meal this time I had a mix grill all meat perfectly cook how ever the meat sizes and the sausages where so small. The chips didn't have there skins as mentioned on menu got standard, the guy asked us if we want sauces I wanted some but never got them. I think I will not be going there for a meal like mix grill I have to try the Carvery and rate this but for now I reissued it a two Star for £14.40 the portion was Tiny and it was kind of busy as well the Manager was working extra speed it look like there was a trainee on the till the bar was Megger busy. The manger was rushed off his feet Tall lad with beard young, he was on the ball.plus staff taking breaks and enjoying lunch break loads loads of kids around the main bar. As from the plate this is how it was given to me I didn't get my chips that should have been with the meal preparation is lacking here last time I had this meal it was better layed out I was shocked how this came to me I Worked similar Roles I was not allowed to send a plate out looking this is what you do at home not in a restaurant.

If I could give this place 0 I would, been going for years but this year OMG! Well where to start we wnt for meal they was 10 of us but did in 3 groups due to diffre t families paying, well my aunti had over her families order 2 mixed grills pie mash peas and gravey. And a rib chi Ken combo. I dunno if the chief dosnt k ow what each meal contains or they was running low on food, but the 2 mixed grills came out with no onion rings, no tomatoes, when asked a staff member we got absolutely ridiculous looks, moa d and grunts, and he walked away, the pie mash and peas was literally 1 spoon of mash and 1 spoon of peas and the pie was all burnt at the bottom it looked like it had been in a microwave for too long and burnt and hard inside of the bottom.the pie. The rib combo was ok just not enough sauce very dry. So that was my aunties, I then ordered 2 Smothered chicken meals a mixed grill and a kids spaghetti bolognaise, and 2 chciken starters and a curry. At the till the women who served us said would you like your starters with your mains as there a 45 minute wait between food so I said yes please, the starters came out but no other food so we aye our starters, an was still waiting 30 minutes had gone since we had eaten our starters so I went and asked a member of staff please can you tell me where the rest of the good is please, once again a mumble under breathe a huff and off he went he came back and said they was being plated up 25 minutes later after asking that member of staff our food came out, but once again no onion rings and tomatoes on the mix grill, the 2 Smothered chicken no bacon no bbq sauce, the curry had 3 piece of chicken in the whole curry. The only thing that was right was the spaghetti bolognaise, so asked the staff again who said very bluntly anything else wrong, so at this point my blood was boiling asked for manager, who came out the back and I told him whY had gone on with everything, who said well have you got everything now and I said no still waiting on onion ring tomatoes bacon and bbq sauce for Smothered chicken he brought them out, bacon been warmed uo in microwave as the saucer was absolutely dripping with fat and to hot to touch, the onion rings cold, and no tomatoe bit wants going back up again, so I eventually set down to eat my cold food, and my Don was sat in his high chair eating his bplognaise next thing his spaghetti is on the floor as the clips on the high chair had broke and his tea went all over the floor, I asked a member of staff if I could have something yo clean it up with I got the most dirtiest look ever, the manager came over and said we will sweep that up, so I asked is there any chance we can have another and we will pay again as not bothered its just £5 he rolled his eyes at the whole table, and said I will get the chef to cook him another one it will be 2 minutes, which it literally was but was slapped up in a bowl, that had spaghetti all down its side underneath like they couldn't be bothered, we let my Don finish his tea but we will definitely not be returning, if the restraunt is under staffed they shouldn't take...

Not the best experience, some parts of the facilities are dated and barely working.

We arrived a little later than planned due to road works on the main link roads which we expected to happen so that's fine. We expected there to be more people around this time of day about 430/5pm.

When we arrived we hadn't booked a table which was no problem despite the busy time we were found a table pretty quickly. Although, this was to the dismay of a elderly couple who had been waiting for a table. Seems the staff had forgotten them? However, they were quick enough to find the couple a table too.

We ordered our mains and they arrived in a fairly average time for how busy it was. Average food for a chain but was enjoyable. I will say the naan you get with the curry was chewy and a bit rubbery? The popadom also while crunchy and broke apart with a snap tasted stale? The rest of my family were all fairly happy with their meals.

As a treat we decided to order a desert. The restaurant had emptied out and was fairly quiet so decided to enjoy the atmosphere. Once we decided what to order, the staff member clearing the table took out order without needing to approach the bar. That was the good part. Let's fast forward 45 minutes where there was no sign of our deserts. When we approached the staff to ask what was happening we were told "there's a hold up". Okay but doesn't really explain anything. Not too much longer they appeared. I think they had gone to milk the cow for the ice-cream.

Before leaving I decided to use the loo and found these to be in a state of disrepair. The toilet seat was hanging off. No toilet paper to be found. The tap on the sink nearly came off in my hand. Hence the dated part of my review. These definitely need work but overall the restaurant itself is fairly clean and modern. Just the loos seem to have been forgotten that they even exist.

Overall food was okay. Service was good till the deserts then it was questionable. Not the best experience but wouldn't stop me going again to another...

Went here this evening for a table booked at 5pm , ordered food at 17:30 as had to wait in a queue of about 7 people waiting for one bar person to take food order as well as pouring drinks , we then waited over 40 minutes , at which point we asked how long the food would be due to having kids and also 1 adult & 2 kids having carvery whilst myself having a mixed grille with the upgraded steak (along with a few sides ), which I was then informed they had no trace of the order in the kitchen and asked for me to remember what I had ordered as I hadn’t been given a receipt , once it had been written down , they said that they would process it and get it cooked within 10 minutes as we had children and also not our fault , we then waited another 30 minutes , for it to finally arrive , we went to the carvery area to get the kids & adult carvery , everything was cold and definitely not to the standards I would of thought brewers fayre would want.

The steak which I had ordered as medium rare , they even took this down the second time when recording , came up well done / cremated , spoke to the manager who was aware of the situation and was offered a partial refund , of 50% of the price .

Also whilst there they have a soft play area which is meant to have a designated person to supervise the health and safety of children ( as well as us parents watching over at all times) Which wasn’t being upheld .

I never ever come to google to leave a negative review , but am generally disappointed in the overall poor experience that we received tonight.

I honestly don’t think that we were the only ones who complained this evening and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more reviews from tonight’s poor service 20/02/2022

The previous time we attended this restaurant we were pleased with the quality of food and service , however this evening was beyond disappointing

We finally...
