The location was perfect for our needs. Water & ice available on arrival and check in was easy with a polite, professional receptionist. Room was ok, the hotel is a little tired. Bed really comfy and water lovely and hot. Tea/coffee provided in the room with extras in reception. Receptionist on leaving however, was rude and unhelpful, may need more training. Price was reasonable but, the meal deal is very deceiving. We paid £27.99 each for dinner and breakfast. Our first night we were presented with an additional bill of £53.46 as not menu of the items on the menu are included in the deal. This was not explained to us, for example, I ordered chicken & ribs, that come with a £2.50 surcharge. You are allocated £14 for food and £3 for a drink, anything priced over this has a surcharge. Obviously we were expecting to pay for extra drinks, the deal comes with one, but not additional costs for food. Breakfast is buffet style so no problems there. Having said all this, our second evening we had everything explained clearly and were even given an additional menu with all the ‘extra’ prices on. She deserves recognition for her service skills. Unfortunately the staff do not wear name badges and the receipt only says ‘Brooke S’. In addition to her professionalism, the on duty manager, after hearing of our experience the night before, treated us very fairly with regards the the extra bill...
Read moreWe have stayed at many Premier Inn's in the past and always received polite and helpful hospitality, however cannot say the same for this establishment. We had previously requested a late book in as we were going to a wedding nearby and were advised this would be fine. Upon our arrival at 10.45pm on Saturday 12th October we spent twenty minutes and three rings on the desk bell trying to get the attention of someone to check us in. Finally a young lady and young lad appeared saying she had been showing him around. We were refused our payment of cash which we have never encountered before, causing inconvenience and we were told we had to vacate the premises by 10.00am the next morning. Actually on booking it stated 12.00 midday, which was pointed out then the lady changed her mind and said it was 11.00am, so which was it, who knows? On entry to the room it was like an ice box with the window having been left open obviously all day, taking virtually all night to get warm and comfortable. Only enough tea and coffee for one cup, we didn't bother to ask for more as didn't want to feel like a nuisance. Don't think I would stay at this particular...
Read morePreview We visited Ferry Meadows back in the summer. We had room 119. Looks out over the putting green on the 1st floor. Incredibly clean and fresh room and Premier inn overall. Staff were all amazing. Decided it would be a wonderful base for site seeing and getting around as the location is ideal with lots to do nearby.*
Today we arrived as we were on a 4 day stay so we could get some great exploring in. We had asked via email for 119 again and was over the moon to have it again. Great views. We were welcomed on arrival by 2 smiley, polite and friendly young ladies on the front desk. In a brief chat with Demi who booked us in my wife briefly mentioned it was our anniversary of 33 years today. She warmly congratulated us. She finished our booking and directed us where to go. After we had settled in we heard a tap on our door. We were greeted by Demi again congratulating us on our anniversary and she handed us a wonderful gift of Chocolates, Beer and Prosecco. WOW........ Incredibly thoughtful of Demi. This has made a wonderful day even better. We cannot Thank Demi enough for such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Amazing........ and a HUGE...
