We're getting quite regulars using Travelodges. Mainly because they are dog friendly and are quite good value compared to other places to stay with your doggies. They are basic, but if all you want is somewhere to stay, that's affordable, then their ideal. We like these smaller hotels as you're not fighting for lifts or parking space, which is free here. We had a ground floor family room which overlooked the busy main road next to it. There are no shops nearby except a farm shop and a Greggs and Burger King. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Ideal for an overnight stay, clean comfortable room with, bathroom, TV and coffee making facilities. 24 hr reception desk and friendly staff. Small free car park outside but plenty of space when I stayed. There isn't a bar or restaurant, but Greggs and Burger King to one side and a wonderful big farm shop with a restaurant to the other side. There was some traffic noise in the morning, but not as loud as you would expect for the location. I would stay there again if I was working in the area.

Hotel is fine without being outstanding. Staff were friendly and polite. Rooms were standard but could use some TLC and some better cleaning, as demonstrated by the dead moth on my floor, and the chips and stains across the features of the room. Absolutely fine place to stay if you're just after a bed for the night.

I'm giving the location 3 stars but only due to the polite and friendly staff. The hotel is in desperate need of repair and updating that im sure will never come. This is clearly not the staffs fault and they are dealing with the cards they are dealt by the owners of the place. The wifi also is not ver good about 6mb/sec upload and 0.5 mb download speed. For me cell service was also not good in the area. The bed was comfortable and if you are staying for more than a day or two I would suggest staying on the car park side lower floor. The back of the hotel is on a very busy roundabout and the noise will cause you to loose sleep. The hotel has no lift so if you have heavy luggage as I did ground floor is best. There is a burger king next store but it's pretty dirty. The Gregg's on the other side of burgerking(in the same building) is better but they close early. The farmers market next store is nice but the restaurant always wants a reservation even for breakfast and they open at 8 until 17:00 so pretty bad hrs for someone working. At any rate the hotel has no microwave or fridge in the room so buying the delicious steak and kidney pie like I did at the supermarket side of the farmers market you will have to eat it cold. Next time I'm in the area I will try perhaps a bed and breakfast location or premier hotel which from.my co-workers is no different than this...

This travel lodge is located in an excellent area if you enjoy walks particularly in Spring as the paths can be slippy at this time of year and it is of course very dark and cold. Anyway, I booked into here for 3 days at the end of July, with the intention of completing the Skipton to Ilkley trail but shortly after arriving and before check in, I experienced an emergency and asked the receptionist to call the police for me. The first response was that I need to do that myself. Admittedly I got angry so she did make the call eventually, I checked in but when help came, I ended up being hospitalised for a month. My friend visited the travel lodge the next day to collect my items and she asked about a refund as I had paid around £250. This was refused as I had booked a saver slot but they did say they were concerned about me. I myself had only intended to ask for a partial refund as I acknowledged that I had used the room to store my items for a day, although I had left the key with reception staff. It is disappointing that this was the (second) response under circumstances that were...

We booked this Travelodge as we were attending a wedding at Bolton Abbey. It's a little way off the Abbey but it's very easy to find and fairly close to Skipton town centre. Rooms basic but, our 3 rooms were very clean, tidy and well presented. Found bed a little too soft for me but, that's just my preference and pillows a little flat, but, there was extra (clean and sealed) pillows on top of shelves that I hadn't seen. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, happy to help and give local info, as were taxi drivers. Coming in late from wedding they just ask that respect others guests and be quiet. Night receptionist/security however could do with personality transplant, come in and say good evening and offer a little interaction you just get a 'a look'🤷. All in all though, it's a budget hotel, but it was great value, clean, tidy and friendly and we would happily stay again should we be...
