What you’d expect from a Travelodge. Cheap and cheerful. The staff who work here are very friendly and helpful if you have any questions or need anything. The carpark is nice and big too, plenty of spaces! The bathroom is the biggest letdown in this place, it’s tiny and outdated. Our shower also leaked everywhere when you used it. (Side spray from the shower head) As above, it’s a Travelodge. You don’t expect the ritz when visiting but if they looked into the bathrooms I honestly think it would make a massive difference!

Twin room was small and pillows not up to standard with blood spot under the pillow case. Moved to a larger double room which was ok but pillow was dirty. Heater warmed the room nicely. TV small compared to other places. Good carpark with camera's. Marsdens pub in walking distance and nearby by Mc Donald's. Morisons and Lidl a 2 minute drive away. No good views but good place to stay for sightseeing. The bed headboard is poorly designed to hold a cup or phone and was awkward to use.

Overpriced for a supposedly budget hotel chain, whilst the room was clean and warm, the bathroom/toilet area is far to small for the overall size of the room. There is no restaurant or affiliation with the nearby pub for breakfast and the breakfast box offered is just an overpriced insult. I would suggest going to the nearby Morrison's for breakfast.

Manager Mel is an outstanding asset going over and above at all stages. It is unusual to know who the hotel manager is when staying in a Travelodge, but on this occasion not only was it obvious who the manager was, but also the Wincanton Travelodge has one that is an asset to the company. We booked the Travelodge for three nights, for a wedding taking place locally - Now, this is a Travelodge so you know what you are getting but in this instance No! - The room was better than expected and the service was better than you might experience in a 4/5star hotel. No, Seriously. Without imposing, or being requested, Mel was making suggestions as to additional things we might need, Iron, Board, Hairdryer etc etc. The breakfast was value for the price paid, but if something more substantial is required, and onsite Pub, Macdonalds and KFC are available with Morrisons or a Lidl, also in very close proximity. So overall, a superb value experience and stand-out service from the site...

This is the highest score I think I've ever given to a Travelodge. This particular unit was refurbished last September with their new colours and designs and I can say it is Welcome after so many years of knowing investment in their hotels. The bedrooms have seen a great improvement with two walls painted in deep blue to break up the white of the old rooms. The reception area has also have a good facelift and they are really welcoming now keep it up Travelodge especially on your motorway service area units. This right they'll become as good as a Premier Inn providing the get rid of some of the guests that they house in...

It's a Travelodge. Anna on reception was welcoming. Everything was as I expected from a Travelodge. I heard it starts a refurb after our visit, but it did not look terribly in need of one, I have stayed in worse hotels. It is aimed at a type of market so suited us for the two nights we stayed. Often find lazy sods parking in the disabled spots without displaying a blue badge, and we were not disappointed here and enjoyed the faff of getting the wheelchair user out of the car in an open space in the middle of the car park along with the decision of park the car properly first, or wheel them out of the rain and come...
