Stayed here for 2 nights for a hen night most off the staff was friendly and helpful to any questions that was asked and helped to there best ability.
We had a mystery murder evening which was a lovely sit down meal which was a set course i enjoyed the couple that was doing the acting was fab Only thing that let this down was not being able to get service on drinks as we spent most off the time trying to get drinks with are meals each time would take us 10-15 minutes to get a drink 😥 So would recommend somone to do this when you have paied so much for this day for u 2 spend the best off the time at the bar. One off the men at the bar looked a very flustered manger? who had served me the wrong drink but instead off offering to change this he argued with me about this in front off all the guests Within that room. (extremely unprofessional)
With this hotel which is a main seller for hens and stags(going to be noisy) we would get told to be quite every evening coming back from the bar or if we would meet at a room to go out we would be told to get off the landing. If you are going to provide packages for stags and hens expect noice 9 times out off 10 everyone's going there to get wasted 🤷♀️
The rooms were clean and tidy and a decent size room with a nice set up for a much needed cup of tea or coffee after a long drive. Would have preferred sockes where I could have charged my phone and watch at the side off my bed then having to get up and down to get my phone from the other side off the room
The room cleaners were extreamly helpful when asked for more clean towels and tea bags they were more then happy to get them straight the way.
My breakfast each morring was allso nice to what I did have I would have liked to see more hot (hash browns , black pudding) breakfast as was very basic but was tasty what was there. The staff at breakfast time were friendly and again more then happy to help you with any extras you would like e.g more coffee and anything that had ran out was quickly stocked up.
Would stay hear again if I wasnt having a mad weekend off alcohol as noice seemed to be...
Read moreI only stay in hotels when I'm working, but I stay in alot of hotels, this was definately up there in my worst stays. When I stay in a hotel, I expect to be able to have a decent night sleep and feel comfortable and safe. However, I checked in to this hotel, went up to my room on the top floor and discovered a 30th birthday banner across the door adjacent to my room. I aired my concerns to the staff, as I was to be up at 6am, who told me there was a party on that night, so anywhere they moved me could be just as noisy. When I went to the lobby, there where several firemen in there, which raised my concerns. A few hours later, I met two police officers on my floor, giving me even more cause for concern. Seeing two emergency services in one night is not great for your guests. Especially after a very large fire earlier that day in Liverpool. The noise from the party was excruciatingly loud, despite being 3 floors above it, which I find extremely inconsiderate to other guests in the hotel. When the party finished, the attendees where just as loud with zero consideration for any one else staying here. The lady on the desk in the morning was really nice about it and understood my frustrations, she couldn't apologise enough, and tried to be as helpful as she could, but that's roughly £100 to not sleep. Unfortunately had a similar experience in the village hotel at Blackpool, which is the only other time I've used this particular chain. If you want a good night's sleep, I don't reccommend this chain at all. The walls are paper thin and if there's an event on it lasts till rather late. In terms of the room... as mentioned, paper thin walls and the bathroom looks severely out dated, I also find, for me personally, the beds aren't very comfortable either. Other then that the room...
Read moreI am unable to comment on the rooms, but the location was ideal for my intended visit. I understand that I booked a non-refundable rate, but my purpose for the trip was to attend a family gathering. While I was looking forward to it, I could not have anticipated the unforeseen circumstances involving my two-year-old child. After returning from the hospital, I reached out to the property directly to explain the situation, but I did not receive a response. I then contacted Booking.com, and on three separate occasions, they acknowledged the unfortunate circumstances and expressed willingness to issue a refund, pending approval from the property.
The property was offered a 0% commission and a reduced rate to resell the room for my two-night stay to facilitate my refund. However, despite numerous attempts to assist, they only offered me a change of date, which I declined, as there would be no reason for me to visit after the family gathering had taken place. Booking.com continued to advocate on my behalf, recognising that no one wants to lose hundreds of pounds. While I appreciate that this is a business and they aim to protect their profits, the property made no genuine effort to resell the room, which could have been a solution beneficial to both parties.
Booking.com suggested I leave a negative review to inform other customers, as they were unable to assist me further. They expressed their sympathy for the situation with my child and emphasised our concern for the well-being of both hotel guests and attendees at the...
