We stayed at the Premier Inn Milton Keynes South last night and were warmly welcomed by Grace upon arrival. Her huge smile and efficient, polite manner set the tone for a pleasant stay. Due to my mobility issues, my private secretary had arranged for us to have room 3, which was conveniently located close to reception, and we appreciated that attention to detail.
The room itself was nice and comfortable, but there were a couple of minor issues that prevented this from being a 5-star review. There was a bit of dust on the headboard, and the TV had a dangling wire for a USB movie attachment. Unfortunately, the required adapter to connect the male to female parts was missing, so we couldn’t use the USB feature. These were small annoyances in an otherwise lovely room.
Before breakfast, we took an early morning walk by the lake as the sun began to rise. The misty surroundings were serene, despite the geese that had kept us up during the night still making their presence known. We even spotted some canoeists gliding through the mist, which made for a peaceful and picturesque start to our day.
Breakfast was a highlight of the stay. Everything was fresh and delicious—bacon, sausage, both scrambled and fried eggs, beans, hash browns—the works! The service was fantastic as well, and although we didn’t catch her name, the chef’s politeness and cheerful attitude really stood out. The food was so good, I couldn’t resist an extra helping of scrambled eggs and beans.
Checkout was swift, and we made use of the electric car charger in the car park, which was reasonably priced at £0.79 per kWh—an added convenience for electric vehicle owners.
Overall, Premier Inn Milton Keynes South offered a very pleasant stay with friendly service, great breakfast, and beautiful surroundings. With just a couple of minor improvements in the room, this would easily be a 5-star...
Read moreApril Stay - Perfect place to get your head down for the night. The receptionist got me a fan as it was a very hot night. Stayed in an accessible room, which was brilliant. Bed was stained a bit and the floor looked a bit dirty. But not to the point where it affected our stay. There was a slight issue with the lights, but we were going to bed so we just left them off. It has a lakeside view and even during the day it was very quiet. The pub was very busy but you wouldn’t know from being in the room.
September stay - I do think the carpark could do with better lighting and a couple more Disabled Bays. I have poor mobility and on returning there was nowhere to park apart from the area right at the back. The steps were not good for me, I had to be lifted down. (I wasn’t using my wheelchair) and it was very dark!! I was put on a 1st floor room, but that was changed to Ground Level, although not accessible for my needs. It was Rm25 and the walk was very long for a person who struggles. Can’t say I was overly impressed with...
Read moreJust had one of the best hotel experiences at the Premier Inn MK S all thanks to the amazing staff at this hotel. From the lovely woman who helped us upon check in after a long day to the manager and cook the next day while eating breakfast. Everyone was absolutely lovely and made us feel more than welcome. Upon arrival, our room was set up for children just like we asked. The room was clean and cool and the entire hotel was very quiet. The next day when we ate breakfast (which was absolutely delicious by the way!), the cook and manager made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel special. I used to travel for work quite often and rarely ever experienced this type of service at a hotel like this. Oh and the location is great. Nice playground next door and really nice restaurant. Truly a memorable and enjoyable experience thanks to all the staff and people at the Premier Inn Milton Keynes South hotel. Thank you from...
