We had a lovely stay at this B&B whilst visiting our family. From start to finish it was one of the best BnBs I have ever stayed in. I love period buildings, and this gracious Victorian house has been restored with love and attention to detail. We were able to park outside, which was a huge bonus. The hostess welcomed us and gave us good information about the facilities. The decor was tasteful and clean, with a large sunny dining room and a beautifully set out bedroom. The bathroom was huge and well appointed with a large bath tub and shower, with plenty of room. The rooms were warm but the heating was adjustable, as I like a cool room. A thoughtful hospitality tray was available, including biscuits. A good hairdryer was provided and proper charging sockets for phones. Every detail was considered. The breakfast was pre-ordered the night before, but with some excellent choices including boiled eggs and soldiers (popular with US customers) and a lavish veggie breakfast. I enjoyed the huge veggie brekkie with beautiful scrambled eggs, sausages, mushrooms and more. There was a smoked haddock option for those who enjoy something different and smoked salmon and eggs. The hostess was incredibly helpful and we chatted about the area and many other topics. We felt like we were visiting friends. Everything was comfortable and easy. When we went out we were welcomed back in person rather than having to take out a key. If you like dolls' houses, there are some fine examples and you can request a little tour. In the summer there is a garden and summer house for guests. Simply everything has been thought about. I cannot wait to visit again and would highly recommend to anyone visiting...

We enjoyed a fabulous 4 night break at Bridge House. Lynn is a most attentive host and we felt so well looked after for the entirety of our stay. Our room was large, airy and freshly decorated. More importantly it was spotlessly clean, as was the beautiful and modern ensuite shower room. There was always a plentiful supply of teas and coffee in our room, which I truly appreciated as quite often places only offer enough for 1 or 2 drinks each day. The dining room was lovely, and breakfast was delicious; freshly cooked with local produce and home baked bread. Lighter choices were available, but full English all the way for us! The B&B is around a mile from town centre, which was easily walkable along a level road with good lighting and footpaths. Our room was at the back, overlooking the garden so I didn't hear any traffic noise at all. The superking bed was lovely and the pillows were the softest that I've ever slept on! At the end of our stay, I felt as though we were saying goodbye to a good friend who I had known for years. Thank you Lynn and Paul, for making us feel so welcome in your...

I was amazed to see that the last review was September 2023, even though this lovely B & B with parking had friendly owners. They let me rebook at discount, after a family member was ill previously and I needed to pay for. Please read your email and/or the room information, if you need to stay in after 10:30, as it is not allowed when I found out I needed to. This possibly ends at 16:30, but not sure.|The king suite was really big and only bookable via the property's website with too soft a mattress and highly scented items that affects my health, so needed to put into a cupboard.|Please be aware that you are not allowed any computer device at breakfast, as I was told I could not use mine. I am reminded of the statement, "The customer is always right.", because the cost of staying is paying to keep the business going.|There was no front door key accessible, only a room key that needed to be left behind, if a fire happened. So, if the owners were out, you...
