2 issues, Staff and Food! READ ON

Staff - I attended with my wife and went to the lounge for a quiet afternoon meal and glass of wine. There was a table with 3 men who instead of sitting in the attached bar to watch TV, used the lounge. They are a bunch of loud foul mouthed individuals. Their language was a disgrace, in what was a family lounge. We complained to the manager but he failed to challenge them, probably because they were regulars. I felt for the families with children who were commenting themselves on the swearing. Poor showing folks, shame on you!

Food - Awful, and I'm not just saying that because of the horrid staff and foul mouthed customers. My steak fajitas came with a smattering of onion and pepper and some uneventful sides, the tortillas where damp somehow and tasted unpleasant. My wife's burger was cremated and the meaty segment between the char was bland and tasteless. Very poor and not worth the hassle, drive past and go elsewhere, spare your kids, your ears and your tastebuds from the full frontal assault they will...

An absolutely 💯 👌 👏 fantastic day 😀 and meal at the Grove pub balderton.The staff and service here are second to none .Friendly staff and an terrific day out .The warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere is astonishing. And as for the service #WOW never been treated so deliciously fed .And all of this for a measly £6.60 .Never in my life have I eaten chicken so tender and well cooked in a beautiful bechamel sauce with garden peas and long grain rice.At which was cooked to perfection 🥰. Well done Rob and the team and a massive thankyou to Jenna the chef and Mac the most polite young man and hardworking gentlemen on this hard day. Had a wonderful meal here today for our staff Christmas get together. We were a table of 14 and the food was excellent, hot and very tasty. We had the Christmas menu which was 3 courses for £16.49 or a little more if having the steak option (which 3 people did and all said it was perfectly cooked and a nice cut of meat). We were so pleased we had choosen to go here for our meal as we all left feeling happy and contented with a full bellies. The staff were so polite and attentive. They made everything from booking, through to payment so easy and we were all able to pay separately. The menu prices are excellent and from what we saw, all the other dishes that were being served looked excellent (that was off the normal menu). It was an absolute pleasure to have eaten here today, and we will definitely be returning again for our future get togethers.A big thankyou to all the staff and manager for making our visit...
