Cairn House — Hotel in North Devon

Had the loveliest time in this Bnb in Ilfracombe. I wasn’t the most impressed by the town itself but enjoyed the cosiness of Cairn House. The room was spacious, bed comfy, lots of space to put belongings and had 2 lovely seats by the window. A nice range of amenities provided. Bathroom was okay, they write on their website about how the en-suites are all recent additions considering the age of the house so they’ve had to make do with what was possible. Shower didn’t have a screen door which would be good to keep the water in, as it kept going all over the bathroom floor. Parking was free and easy, however driving out onto the main road was a slight nightmare as you can’t properly see the cars coming from both side so just be careful!! Breakfast in the morning was really lovely and home cooked, decent portions and a range of continental offerings on the side. The hosts were excellent, incredibly friendly and lovely to chat to. Overall, an excellent stay and if I found myself in Ilfracombe again one day, I wouldn’t...

I cant explain how good this b&b is . Margaret greeted us and put us in a kingsize room very clean and comfortable with everything you need including wi fi . Parking for a few cars on the premises .. its run by Margaret and nick her husband who is the chef serving a fabulous breakfast and i had the most delicious scrambled eggs ever .. there is a bus stop yards from the hotel which takes you into Ilfracombe town centre . Only takes ,5 min the only problem i can see is it is on a hill so maybe a mobility problem for some people .. otherwise an excellent place to stay and we will return...

Pleasantly surprised how tidy and clean everything was! Very easy location, parking available. Despite being on the main road, there’s no noise, and the house is elevated quite high so the views are great. Very nice front garden, tidy reception area with lots of local tourist info. The owners are very polite and accommodating. Our room was excellent and newly refurbished, quite spacious and super clean and fresh. Very comfortable large double bed with nice linen, Nespresso machine, refreshments all available. Breakfast was very well made...
