Monkey Puzzle Restaurant — Restaurant in North Devon

I cannot express enough my disappointment this place, a take away restaurant that has managed to ruin my dining experience entirely.

To say that my encounter has been a nightmare. I placed an online order, eagerly anticipating a delicious meal, only to have my hopes shattered as I never received anything . Naturally, I assumed it was a simple mistake, but what followed was an absolute lack of accountability from the restaurant.

My first attempt to reach the restaurant was met with an excuse and a promise to refound the money. Until today, no response to my emails, no answer to my phone calls. It seemed as if they had vanished into thin air, taking my money with them. Persistence drove me to continue my attempts at communication, desperately hoping for an explanation or, at the very least, a refund.

Weeks passed, and my frustration grew. It became clear that this establishment had no intention of fulfilling its obligations to its customers. I have never encountered such a level of disregard for basic customer service principles. It is utterly unacceptable to take someone's money, fail to deliver the promised product, and then vanish into the shadows without a trace.

The lack of professionalism and basic decency displayed by Monkey Puzzle is appalling. Their actions reflect a complete disregard for the value of their customers and the importance of customer satisfaction. Not only have they stolen my hard-earned money, but they have also stolen my time and trust.

I implore anyone considering ordering from Monkey Puzzle to think twice. Don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid this establishment at all costs. Not only will you be left hungry and disappointed, but you may also find yourself fighting for a refund that may never come.

This place has shown a complete lack of integrity and responsibility. I urge them to rectify this situation promptly, return the money they owe, and provide an explanation for their unacceptable behavior. We discovered this restaurant today, and I'm pleased to say it is a cracking little place and great value too!

2 adults roast dinners plus two kids roast dinners for £21.99! For that price we weren't expecting too much. However, the food was amazing! No fast, cheap and cheerful food here. All homemade with a lot of love and care from some very skilled professional chefs. Best roast I've had in a long time.

There's also a good-sized soft play area for the little ones, and it's dog friendly, too.

It's fair to say we will be back the next time we are in the area 🙂.

Our second visit to the themed buffet nights and unfortunately the same problems with the service remained. There was an internet issue which again meant no draft beers or pints and tills were down so some customers left. The food was plentiful but no gyros or signs saying what the the different food was so no idea if veggie or not. Plenty of staff on but no one clearing plates or tidying round the buffet area so chips on the floor being squashed in by guests. Atmosphere was lacking due to no music so we ate and left whereas if there was a bit more vibe we may have stayed and...
