Booked for 5 nights arriving on the Saturday .. Room was absolutely disgusting - Thick dust all around the room, horendous mould around windows and on the ceilings in the bathroom. The room temperature at 25.5 degrees, and we were unable to adjust as the thermostat was broken - lights didn't work. My partner became ill during our stay and after discussing our concerns with reception .. we were told that all the rooms were like this !! Enough was enough and we checked out Wednesday morning - over a day early. When I tried to complain to Vicky the Manager, she just advised they have be feeding this back for 3 years and have been promised a refurbishment. As if it was acceptable and normal to just say this. Just a deep clean to start with if you are going to continue to sell these rooms at a premium price !! I would suggest trying every other option for booking elsewhere and choose here as a last resort. I am still awaiting a response from customer care for their feedback.

The hotel is quite old and poorly maintained. The front of house staff are great and really will do anything for you, but they are up against it. The walls and floors are thin enough to hear every man and his wife snoring and the majority of rooms I have been subjected to on the annexe side are damp and mouldy. See pictures. The rooms are a reasonable size but as with all Premier Inns, they have doubled up with a terrible restaurant attached that rely solely on unwitting guests at the hotel. In total I stayed there on 3 occasions and moved room 3 times. I did offer to speak to the regional manager and this was to be arranged through the hotel manager, but when I emailed to confirm the time etc, they had left the hotel. Full refund back but that doesn't deflect the poor state the hotel is in. It also doesn't reimburse my lungs for breathing in potentially harmful spores from the mould on the walls that they were merely washing off, badly.

unfortunately me and my wife and my two boys booked a family room they are on the top floor. we booked two nights the rooms are unbearable so so hot temperature gauge showed 31 degrees at night inside the room. the 1st night we complained about the heat the manager offered us three fans we slept with them right by our heads but made no difference. 2nd night we asked to be moved to a air-conditioning room but was told we as a family don't qualify as we had children but if we had paid another £150 on top of what we already paid we could get 1 room that sleeps 2 with air-con its a joke. I am glad we are home now we will never book there again in the summer it ruined our weekend to hot and lack of sleep.

We stayed here 15th to 17th March 2024. We have been here before. The place is adequate for a short stay, a little out the way if you fancy visiting shops. Reception staff seem to be very friendly but rushed off their feet!! Well they did say “we do have to do other things” when we were trying to get someone’s attention, as we had issues getting into the building with our key cards. Rooms are small but sufficient. The water pressure is absolutely useless, leave the tap running and it will turn into a drip, we were given reasons why this happens but personally as people pay to stay it should be usable. Toilet seat was all loose and dangerous but I didn’t report it as I didn’t want to wait at reception for someone to appear(considering they do other things!!) The bed wasn’t too bad but the pillows including the ones which are provided as soft second choice are extremely uncomfortable. Our view from the window looked at a bank of brambles and scrub but we were not here for a holiday with a view I suppose. The WiFi had issues, more so in the 2nd building which was on a different system to the main, it was very hit and miss. One thing I did notice was the smell of marijuana outside certain rooms, totally unacceptable as far as I’m concerned. My opinion it could be a lot cleaner too, throughout the whole building. The attached restaurant is handy but don’t expect cordon bleu it can be over cooked, greasy and over priced. Breakfast wasn’t too bad, a bit cramped to get at the toast but people move on fairly quickly. Things run out quickly but do get replaced regularly. The off putting part is all the hundreds of cigarette butts outside the main entrance on the floor, the untidy covered area on the paved area with wooden tables and chairs, paving with mortar joints in need of serious repair, all the rubbish/ leaves, unemptied flower pot ash trays, cigarette packets/ crisp packets/ peanut wrappers and paper all over this area, it’s not inviting. We came down for our last breakfast to find food still on seats and under tables, glass and coffee stains on the window sills, dust and cobwebs everywhere, it seems they only clean what’s immediately in front of you ( just) This is an honest...

The hotel from hell. The FAMILY room we booked for our "rest easy" holiday smelt of mould so strongly we complained in the first 10 secs. The hotel reception had to explain that the whole hotel smelt of mould, Premier Inn are aware, and every room is as bad and smells of mould as the next. The room was run down, the bathroom also stunk of mould and was covered in it. It was hard and uncomfortable to sleep in the room as it was damp and smelt of mould so badly. The kids cried, the wife cried and it basically ruined the holiday. On Friday night the room above played music so loud the whole hotel complained, and then the same room did it again Saturday, and all this whilst breathing in mould. Premier inn should be ashamed to advertise and rent rooms out in this condition. Premier inn are so aware of the mould situation in ALL the rooms, (i complained and staff took me around another 2 rooms and they ALL smelt) they are referbishing the hotel due to the mould, but still rented the room out. That's admission in the first instance. I will be taking my children to the Drs as my eldest now has a cough after 3 nights sleeping in that bio hazard of a room and I'm worried it's due to spores. Why didn't I book another hotel? Well, after driving 5 hours and it being our only holiday, with no refund, plus a bank holiday wknd, every other hotel was full!. Awful, disgusting, dangerous and a health hazard. Premier Inn, you...
