Had an absolutely dreamy week at Putsborough Manor Cottage. The cottage itself is a gorgeous building with a generous garden. It's set in s tranquil enclave just a short walk from the beach. Aside from the stunning beach that never got too busy deapite excellent weather, highlights were listening to the early morning birdsong and playing lots of tennis at the cottage's shared court. My parents stayed in Putsborough Manor Barn - having them next door was an excellent arrangement and Claire accommodated us being able to eat together by providing additional chairs. The cottage was dog friendly, with a convenient door at the bottom of the stairs to prevent furry friends going upstairs, although an adventurous dog like ours can definitely escape the garden if they want!!! Overall, a wonderful stay and...
Read moreAfter many years holidaying in various holiday cottages around the Braunton/ Saunton/ Croyde /Georgeham area Garden cottage was without doubt the best one we have stayed in to meet our families needs. The location is perfect! We did not need to use the car to get to the beach so no parking fees , the dogs loved the walk across the field through the sheep and my daughter reliably informed me it took us 7 minutes. The cottage and gardens are beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The tennis court was a fabulous extra that we used daily for a family tennis tournament. We rarely used the car - lovely walk into croyde to the hub for croissants. Claire was brilliant and responded really quickly to any questions we had. We all want to...
Read moreWe have just returned from a week at this beautiful cottage. It is very chocolate postcard looking surrounded by other beautiful thatched cottages in the most relaxing and peaceful setting. Cottage lovely and cool on hot days with plenty of garden space for the kids to play. We were left boogie boards by the owners which our kids made the most of at the beach. Huge beds which were so comfortable and close to a pretty village where we ate in the local pubs. Worth noting although walk to the beach was stunning and only 400 metres away, the walk down to the beach itself and then back up again is a very steep hill which may not suit more elderly or anyone with physical disabilities. Had the best night's sleep here and very sad to have...
