I had a lovely one-night stay here (at a cost of £10). I had the place to myself, presumably due to this month's poor weather!
The instructions Stan provided ahead of my visit were helpful and I found the parking place and the camping field easily. The field is mostly wildflowers with a flat mowed terrace cutting through, and it's a glorious place to be. I didn't hear owls but I did hear baby foxes squabbling as I lay in my tent.
The sink station and compostable toilet were very clean.

Very friendly hosts and no issue with communication or to answer any questions. If anyone needs a bbq there is an opportunity to borrow one as well and option to buy fire wood too. Read moreStand field is absolutely ace! It is located in a beautiful location, with an absolutely amazing view. The facilities are perfect for camping, and are very clean. With the field being tucked away, it was extremely peaceful- and camping with badgers and other wildlife was an amazing experience! The host is warm and welcoming, and an absolute joy to talk to!
