Easy to get to and as described! Recommend for anyone looking for wild camping-esque experience. Only for tent campers so you get lovely privacy. Beautiful views form the hill! Very friendly hosts and no issue with communication or to answer any questions. If anyone needs a bbq there is an opportunity to borrow one as well and option to buy fire wood too. Access to a WC and running (drinkable) water. Lovely sounds of nature, owls and fox's as neighbours and waking up together with the birds singing ☺️ Not far from Stroud town centre or a pub either! Would highly recommend!

Stand field is absolutely ace! It is located in a beautiful location, with an absolutely amazing view. The facilities are perfect for camping, and are very clean. With the field being tucked away, it was extremely peaceful- and camping with badgers and other wildlife was an amazing experience! The host is warm and welcoming, and an absolute joy to talk to! Even helping my friend and I start a camp fire as we didn't have much experience camping (which meant we could toast some marshmallows which was a very delicious late night sweet-treat!). Thank you for a much loved stay

Excellent basic camping, amazing views over Stroud. Simon the host laid out a bottle of home made cider for us on arrival. Highly recommend this if you don’t want any glamour.

I had a lovely one-night stay here (at a cost of £10). I had the place to myself, presumably due to this month's poor weather!

The instructions Stan provided ahead of my visit were helpful and I found the parking place and the camping field easily. The field is mostly wildflowers with a flat mowed terrace cutting through, and it's a glorious place to be. I didn't hear owls but I did hear baby foxes squabbling as I lay in my tent.

The sink station and compostable toilet were very clean.

I paid by bank transfer after my stay, although you can also leave cash in a bucket by the sink station if you prefer. All very laid-back...
