I honestly cannot describe how amazing this place is. If you want peace and some time away from the craziness of life, then this is it.
The yurts themselves are magnificent. They are huge and can easily sleep 4-6. They have comfortable beds and wood burners. Real luxury. There are wood-fired showers near each yurt as well as a whole outside dining and kitchen area for each. The yurts have their own private space so you aren't bumping into neighbours and can properly relax. You are entirely off-grid so definitely take a battery pack for anything you might want charging.
There is a real sense of connection to nature here. You aren't bothered by anyone passing. The only other beings you will see are cows and the occasional sheep or horse.
The owners of the site are wonderful. Really approachable and helpful. I cannot wait to return and enjoy this experience again. You will leave there feeling truly rested and reconnected to yourself. Highly...

The yurt was large, comfortable and warm once we lit a fire. Lighting a fire was also needed to heat the water for a shower and you had to walk through 2 fields to get our phones charged but that all added to the "back to nature" feel.
The amount of space we had to ourselves was impressive; I can't think of a place I've visited where I've had so much room to wander. The videos I've posted will give you some idea of what we had.
Our hosts, Wendy and Larry, gave us a comprehensive guide to our plot and were always on hand to offer help or guidance. We suffered a couple of huge downpours but that did not stop us from being able to enjoy our stay there.
One note, the nearest town to get your provisions is Ashburton; There are closer village shops but they are not as well stocked or stay...
Read moreWow is one word to describe Newcott Farm Yurt, but it is so much more than that! Wendy and Larry have thought of absolutely everything needed, they are fantastic hosts. My break was a birthday surprise and I was bowled over when we arrived. If you want peace, tranquility, you love woodlands and nature and just want to unwind then this is the place for you. The yurt is spectacular and so comfortable and cosy and having your own lake right on your 'yurt step' is awesome and no one else in sight at all. It is a magical place and really made my birthday weekend so very special and with the moor just a short walk through the fields, I couldn't have asked for anything better. If you are thinking of making a booking here, don't think just book it! You really will love it. Paddy the dog will be there waiting to greet you. Thank you...
