This is the first time we have used Premier Inn Tewkesbury on our way to Devon, we used to use Worcestershire Premier Inn but after a bad experience there in June this year we decided to try Tewkesbury and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by two lovely ladies on reception, as we hadn't already booked evening meal we asked if we could book it and it was done straight away without any hesitation. My Partner asked if he needed to pay for disabled parking because in some places we have stayed disabled badge holders still have to pay and display, we were told no, our blue badge was all we needed, we were then asked if we would prefer to be in a ground floor room, as we both have mobility problems this was gratefully accepted. It was lovely to walk into our room and find it lovely and cool, window open and heating controls that actually worked and were not broken, room was spotlessly clean and we even had a bathroom door that we were able to close, didn't have that at Worcestershire. We had told the ladies at reception about our last experience and also that we use Premier Inn at Preston on a regular basis and that we have always had a Brilliant experience there, they said they would hopefully beat that experience and do you know, they did, the service at arrival was EXCELLENT, the evening meal we had was EXCELLENT, the breakfast was EXCELLENT. Could not fault anything at all, from arrival to departure 100% EXCELLENT SERVICE. We would definitely recommend Premiere Inn Tewkesbury and we will definitely be...
Read moreThis has got to be one of the worst Premier Inn experiences we have ever had, we stayed here last September and it was fantastic, what difference 11 months can make.
We understand that obviously things have changed due to Covid, but our experience was shocking. Our room was lovely and clean but our bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in at any Premier Inn, the mattress was so lumpy and bumpy which I know is very unusual as normally they are very comfortable. Our bed creaked everything one of us moved, to the point that it kept us awake.
Evening meal, well that was also the worst experience, we were booked for 7pm, 1 member of our group ordered a starter, 1hour and 20 minutes he waited, then when we eventually served our main courses the plates were hot, the salad was red hot and the food was shocking, scampi was soggy and greasy, the sloppy chicken was bone dry and tasteless, the fish & chips were probably the best meal apart from peas which were so hard you couldn't chew them. At 9.50 we were asked if we wanted our bill, we had wanted dessert but when we tries to order, we were to they had run out of ice cream?
There were not many staff, maybe that is the way it has to be but they were unable to cope and were running around and i honestly think we were forgotten a out. Breakfast wasn't any better, cold food on warm plates, not what we expected at all. Sadly we left feeling very sad and disappointed with the whe experience, this is the reason we have not given any...
Read moreThe entrance looks slightly weathered and the doors really squeaky, lots of tourists information. On arrival at 3pm the receptionist looked extremely tired and was unable to find my booking after ten minutes of trying to find it, we realised the Premier Inn Web site had changed the date to next month! She changed the dates to today's only for the price to go up by £22!! I asked her to cancel the booking and I'll book it on line as its lots cheaper she did and said I'd lost my £39 because she'd forgotten to change the dates back, I ask to speak to her manager and no-one was on site. After numerous attempts at fixing the error the obviously over worked receptionist called her manager (although I think she was just another overworked receptionist) and she was also unable to correct it. She told her manager would try and sort it out when she arrived at 7pm!! We had no choice but to book a new room on line at £58 we went to the room and the room was spacious and clean the view was the link Road to the motorway and was extremely loud. The bathroom was OK the bath was old and the water pressure for the shower is was very poor. The second receptionist came to my room at 9pm and said she had refunded my £39 and apologised, she gave me a refund pdq slip and said it was sorted. This morning is received an email from the Premier Inn saying that as need to pay my late cancellation fee and the £39 still isn't in my account. My romantic late valentines break turn in to a...
