Wigan hotel Check in 07/08/24 Check out 08/08/24 At arrival, I would say the carpark was an okay size, not busy and free to park. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. There was no lift, so we had to carry 3 suitcases and bags with two small children! Not fun at all. There was no key lock on the inside of the door, only a chain (nobody can access the room from the outside, but the chain wasn't up high enough for my child not to reach, so I was on guard at all times!) The wardrobe cupboards cannot be used as the doors are permanently closed. Limited space to put clothes so had to use our suitcases. The bed sheets were clean and towels were fresh, however the furniture was stained and there was mould in the windows and on the wall. The radiator was also rusty and dirty. The kettle tripped the electric off at 4.30pm, there was no phone in the room to ring reception so had to walk down three flights of stairs to report the issue, it took a member of staff just over an hour to come and take a look, by that time I had found the fuse box myself by removing the wardrobe cupboard door with a spoon! A female member of staff was kind enough to make me a coffee and she later returned with a new working kettle. Was a little gutted we had no iron, that would have been handy. The room was very quiet at night and we slept comfortably. But we were so disappointed with breakfast, the full English was awful, the egg was overcooked, sausages were not premium, bubble and squeak taste like mud (earthy potatoes) no idea how those mushrooms were cooked (boiled, no seasoning?) hash browns had no flavour. Didn't cater for milk allergies, only had cows milk for cereal, luckily we took our own. Check out was easy. Staff friendly. Would I stay again... no, I wouldn't. I would 100% use premier Inn again (I have another booked next week), but I would not stay at this one again.

While the room was cheap and the staff were okay, the room was very dirty. There was dust everywhere. I didn't mind that the place was a bit worn and tired as I only paid £30 or £40 for the night so it would be unfair to expect the Ritz, but there isn't really any excuse for the room to be so dirty. Definitely avoid this hotel if you've got any breathing issues like asthma (like me), have kids that will be crawling around or if you generally prefer a clean room. I will say that the location is very convenient being so close to the M6 and at no point were the staff rude or anything like that.

Currently being extended, so car park full of builders vehicles, machinery and construction materials. Not advertised clearly when booking, interior has cables and fibreglass insulation exposed. Used towels left outside room in corridor (at 530pm so not left from morning clean) Not great at all. Restaurant served overcooked rice (I.e. solid block) asked for chips but got rice. Staff very helpful and friendly so no reflection on them!!

Arrived late due to work check in was easy but no details given with regards to check out or anything found my room and ive got to say stunning very clean comfy and had everything i needed i was more than happy. After sorting my bits out i headed down to reception as i needed pillows.change over had happened and the night porter Declan was on the desk what can i say he is a credit to the hotel nothing is to much trouble and certain others in the hotel could learn a bit from his customer service skills.2 days i was at the hotel room 26 16th july i am a smoker and enjoyed going outside there was a bit of trouble on my first night were the police were called but again declan made his customers safe and called the police to deal with a group stealing a van from the carpark obviously not the hotels fault but i wanted to highlight again this lads customer service skills for the trouble he has to deal with on an evening which i witnessed myself drunks domestics etc he is a star. I will 100% use this hotel again and hope to bump into him again Thankyou declan and premier...

Started off on a good foot - greeted by a polite young man on the reception who was very informative. The room however was incredibly stuffy, the angle that the window opens allows no air. It was incredibly grubby and shabby in the room. First night, we slept ok but woke regularly in the night due to the heat in the room. We both woke up feeling very dried out. The next day we went out to an event which was the reason for our stay, came back exhausted and looking forward to some sleep. NOT! Room adjacent to me had a couple check in who were arguing while their toddler ran around. Another guest was going in and out of their room, slamming doors and yelling to her friend. Another two guests doing the same but going outside and sitting in their car for periods of time before coming back in. Someone walking up and down the corridor tapping on our door. My room reeks of cannabis from people smoking it in here. It’s just constant noise which has driven me to tears. Im considering packing up and sleeping in my car at this point. Really dissatisfied. I wouldn't come back...
