Maybe it depends on the day and the time...but some of the reviews praise Jayla for being professional, but from my experience, she is the downfall of this hotel. Its a decent hotel...the pricing is decent. But the staff and the management don't seem to b in sync with each other about anything. I was supposed to move in here on January 17th, was about to book the reservation but something told me to come here and tour the hotel first. I got here and no rooms were actually available. Talked to a nice lady at the front desk who explained that because some pipes had burst in some rooms, availability was limited and that they'd have rooms to rent and to show by the 19th. She booked my reservation then and I went on about my business. I show up on the 19th and Jayla is at the front desk. I tell her I have a reservation and she looks it up. Apparently the lady who booked the reservation had given me a rate that was too low, so Jayla changed it. It wasn't that much of a difference in price so I didn't sweat it. Even then, while she was trying to explain the issue with the pricing she had a bit of an attitude. I let it slide then. Chalked it up to her maybe having a bad day. I explained then that I was here for work and that I'd possibly be extending for two more months if I liked the hotel. Jayla told me that was fine and to contact her a day or two before the reservation was to end and we'd get it squared away. ||||Fast-forward to this past Wed, Feb 9th ,I went downstairs and spoke to someone at the front desk about me extending my reservation. I explained that I would be going home (I'm from South Carolina) until the 15th. I asked if I needed to pay ANYTHING up front before I went out of town because I knew my flight would arrive back late. Flight was supposed to land at 220PM at OHare,. I was told that I didn't have to worry my reservation was good until the 15th. No mention of a late fee.||||I called yesterday at 1001AM and spoke to someone on the phone to confirm that my room was still going to be in available after I arrived today (which is the 15th) and i was told that everything would be fine. No mention of a late fee.||||I arrived today around 430 (flight was delayed by about 40 mins) and Jayla was at the front desk. She first claims that a new reservation was made by me....I never made a reservation I was extending my time from the start of the current reservation for another month (really would have been two months because I need a place until mid April) I then explain to her that I didn't make a new reservation I made an extension. She then tells me that I'm being "Jazzy" with her and she basically told the lady working with her to "take him because she didn't have time" or something to that effect. She had a whole attitude. She's not professional at all. Apparently if you dont pay before 11AM on the due date you are hit with a late fee of some sort. NOBODY told me this...not the lady at the front desk last Wednesday and not the lady who I spoke to at 1001am yesterday.||||The problem I have with all of this is that nobody ever told me Id be hit with a late fee for an extension of a room. Not the front desk worker from last Wedneday or the the front desk worker from yesterday when I called to ensure my room was still going to be available for rent. ||||Had there ever been anytime or any mention of a late fee I could have fully paid for my month last Wednesdy before i left to fly home. There seems to be something deceptive and shady about the way they do things at this hotel. Its almost like she got an attitude with me from the beginning because she knew that somebody had done something wrong or that I would be hit with a late fee. She had that same attitude the first day I came here to check in on the 18th when the worker at that time had set the wrong price.||||I work hard for my money, I don't bother anybody in this hotel, I keep my room clean. I haven't asked for anything outside of fresh towels and bedsheets the whole time I've been here. I will not be disrespected by anybody, especially over multiple discrepancies that were not my fault. I tried to follow up twice to make sure everything was in order before I left here and right before I got back here. I still had to come back here and get talked to like I'm a child and told that my attitude is "jazzy" when I declined to be disrepected by "the manager" Jayla. Her attitude is ugly.||||I have already called corporate and filed a complaint and once my time here is up on March 15th I will be moving to a different hotel. In the meantime I'm going to also call corporate so that they can explain all fees and services being charged to my credit card because AGAIN, you can't have a conversation with Jayla about any of these things because she will get an attitude and become defensive if you ask her about anything related to the room or the fees. Read moreHello all!||Lets start w, im a veteran w a service dog. Under the ADA, i should NOT be charged for him. But i was. 50 dollar deposit and 5 bux a day moving forward! Started at $484 a week and then they raised the rates to $535 a week and then most recently $620 a week or over 2k a month! Who has that kind of money!?! My kids would often help me pay due to them CONSTANTLY raising the rates. We have paid that hotel OVER 10K since March of '24. So when my son went downstairs to ask them about this, they felt threatened, closed the partition on him and called the police. My son recorded EVERYTHING!!! Jayla said outta his/her own mouth that bc my son is 15, she doesnt feel like she has to explain herself to a 15 yr old. But 1, he pays and 2 he's a guest. So, um, baby, thats your job to inform your guests or put your guests at ease when they dont feel comfortable or doesnt understand something... and to top it off, Jayla's little buddy took it upon herself to come upstairs during the police officers questioning me. So i made sure to include her unprofessional self in the conversation. She just kept walking back n forth knowing that she didn't need anything, she was just being nosey. Aaliyah, i believe her name is... shes EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE WORKING THERE. Even the part where someone came in my room when i first checked in and turned my tv down. My dog wasnt used to all the noise in that hotel so i would leave the tv up when i left. They claim that it is "HOTEL POLICY" to go into your room whether your in there or not for a room inspection. There WERE signs posted EVERYWHERE stating this. Now theyve disappeared. I Have NEVER heard of this. They didnt know my dog was in there and he barked. What did u think was going to happen? You invaded his space while his owner was not there. Called me at work and threatened to put us out if i didnt come back right now and basically shut my dog up... they told the police that my dog was vicious and my son a threatening menace basically... so when the cops came upstairs to talk to me, my dog peeked thru the door and the cop reached in and petted this oh so vicious dog! So i called and put in a complaint to corporate, which is a waste of time! They do nothing. Basically told me bc i was still staying there that there was nothing they could do for me! SO THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR VETERANS!!??!? I ACTUALLY HAD THE BALLS TO DEFEND MY COUNTRY JAYLA!||So let me be clear, Thank you to ALL the staff. Ana, the facilities worker who is awesome! Read moreI have stayed in plenty of hotels but this one was interesting. 1st my door was locked by the lock bar on top. Then noticed that the fan didnt work for the small kitchenet stove top. The mirror in the bathroom was rusty with hard water stains on the mirror & the sink area was not cleaned properly. There was soap scum still on the counter, as if no one scrubbed it clean. Ive worked in the cleaning service for many years and i know what its like to have to clean fast or what needs to be cleaned up. Because the fan wasnt working on the kitchenet area, it made the room smell when we would cook even the slightest thing, like ramen. We tried opening the window but was only able to open it about a 1/8" out. Which is understandable for safety reasons. The bed was hard and made our backs hurt. When we asked for extra towels and shampoo (which wasnt in the room per the new law) it was fine. Kevin was real nice and welcoming. After the first night we got a knock from housekeeping. Asking if we were staying or leaving. I was confused why she asked that but maybe bcz we are staying 2 nights, they clean after the first night? I have had that before but in the morning it was weird. I had just woken up so I just told her we are staying. Then we get a phone call from front desk, some lady with attitude telling me, "you aren't allowed to stay another night. We are fully booked". And I told her we paid for 2 nights. Then told me to come to the front desk with attitude again. I was confused. I went to the front desk & spoke to the rude lady on the phone. She kept repeating the same thing to me, "it says here you paid for 1 night" not even looking at me. Asked for my name, told her I have my ID but she didnt want it. Tried showing her the email confirmation. After her not listening to me i gave attitude back and tried showing her proof on the email again, confirming that i paid for 2 nights and checkout was sunday but she didnt want to look at my email. She kept looking at her monitor and wanted to show me what she was looking at. Finally asked me who i booked it from and then asked for my name the 2nd time, she said "oh crap" & said "sorry but yeah. Its fine. You can go on ahead" No explanation as to why this happened or why i got accused of only paying one night. It was such a hassle and I apologized for my temper bcz i dont get defensive but i got woken up twice and was told to leave when i had a right to be there. She apologized. I was so annoyed I didnt even want to ask why this happened. Maybe a name got mixed up? Which cant be cz i gave them my ID when checked in. I understand some times things get mixed up when having a busy day at work and keeping track of people but the way she approached the situation was not professional at all. And I work in customer service now so I get it. But no respect whats so ever. Overall it was not a fun stay for many reasons and I dont think we will be staying...
