Was a pretty cool experience. Stayed in a tiny house cabin for a night in Mount Laguna. It was a very small cabin and 2 people in it is probably the maximum. Hopefully you like the person you are traveling with. Lol. There are a lot of cute cabins and I actually wouldn't mind moving up here and renting one on a longer term basis. However, after reviewing the monthly rent, it's a bit higher than I expected. The place is pretty much in the middle of no where and there isn't really any gas stations, grocery stores (other than the market) or restaurants (with the exception of the one on the property with limited days and hours) anywhere near. It's beautiful and the air feels crisp and clean. It's almost living off the grid. If you enjoy quiet, nature, this could be for you. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was how close to the neighbors you actually are. Each lot seems to have enough room for a garden and fire pit, with a small yard. But it's still really close to the next tiny house. If the cost to rent was about half of what they're asking, I would jump in a heart beat and move up there , in a tiny house just a bit bigger than the one I stayed in. Overall, Gayle (I believe is the Onsite manager) was helpful, and very prompt and responsive. It was...
Read moreThe Tiny House Block is my home away from home. It’s a great place to stay at if you’re in the San Diego area and are looking for a place to gain peace and solitude. It’s around 1 hour east from there and is in the middle of a forest of Jeffrey Pines. It’s a dark sky community so the night time star gazing is awesome. There’s a campground right next to there that is a short distance from the Desert View trail, which has beautiful views. The community is also quiet, and the people are nice. Each tiny house comes with a fire pit, and they provide firewood. I love a nice mountain campfire. The Tiny Houses vary in size, each is nice and cozy, and comes with amenities. I have enjoyed my stay in each of my 4 stays there, all at different tiny houses. And on the property is the Pine House Cafe & Tavern, which offers delicious traditional American food. There’s an outpost a short drive down the road where you can get food and other stuff. I can’t say enough great things about the Tiny House Block, I absolutely love it here, I highly recommend staying there, and I’m looking forward to...
Read moreThe tiny home we stayed in was definitely not clean; black hair everywhere, the cups were dirty, the coffee maker full of old coffee grounds and water and whe make the reservation you are charged a close to $40 cleaning fee. The Kicker is when some pictures fell off the wall while were sleeping at 3am because they have been stuck to the wall. Our stay would have been better in a tent.
ADDITION AFTER RESPONSE: Your response to the review just solidifies how much you really do not care about people spending $140 a night to stay in a dirty room when they paid close to a $40 CLEANING FEE. WOW I definitely will never stay here again and I'll be sure to let as many people know about my experience as possible. The right thing to do would be to refund the cleaning fee...
