We had a family event in Coldwater, MI but couldn't get a room there (MIS race, a fair, evidentially lots was going on in or around Coldwater. My cousin said she had never spent the night in Indiana, so due to rate ($65.00 + taxes), reviews and close distance to Coldwater, we chose this place to lay our heads. The people were nice. Our room was nice sized and held two queen beds. The bathroom was spacious and the TV was large and hung on the wall, there was also a small refrigerator. It has a small closet but had a dresser with plenty of drawers. Everything looked clean except the bathroom floor. My cousin thought it may be grout that was never cleaned up, it may have been but looked like dirt under the bathroom vanity and behind the door. The front face of the sink/vanity needs a new coat of paint also. I do hope they try to clean i,t whatever it is, because the room is nice other than that. The air conditioner is a window unit which seemed noisy when you are sleeping beside it (I'm used to Central Air). Thank God for the air conditioner because when we arrived back at the Inn, around 10:30pm, the temp had dropped to 84 degrees (F) so it was still very warm out! I don't think the walls are super insulated for noise, I could hear one of the surrounding rooms TV quite well, but then, maybe they had it turned up loud (???) I would...
Read moreHorrible! People were nice but We stayed here as we had to get off the road due to ice storm. We had a small service animal which they asked for a card for (no such thing) so they charged us $5 extra dollars, no big deal. What was a big deal was the fact the room was old, smelled, and had no heat! It was 20 degrees outside and there was snow coming in from the bathroom window. No heat!!! We slept in our jackets and hats! The water smelled horrible and the shower had mold and rust! Lumps in the carpet and hear the guy in the room next to us puking all night! Very out dated rooms. We had no choice as everywhere was sold out due to ice storm. Room was $50. I would sleep in my car rather then ever stay here again! Only thing better then death is a stay at...
Read moreIt's a very comfortable place. The owners are very engaging, meaning they will accommodate your quips within reason.
I am editing because there is something I think I should mention. If you drive a tractor trailer, there is a big paid truck parking lot right there. Ezzz truck parking. They also rent uhauls. You just walk across the lot to the hotel.
There is no Uber, and Enterprise rent a car, never have a car available. The owner of the truck parking will rent you the uhaul to get around. And the owners of the motel will carve out a spot for you to park the uhaul during your stay, so you can safely and conveniently, conduct your business.
I recommend supporting these two businesses. They are...
