Otter Bay Deli — Restaurant in Angola

I so wanted to give this deli a 5 star review but unfortunately I can't. We ordered sandwiches through Door Dash for us to pick up on the way out of town. The sandwiches were great but the service was underwhelming. First, they called my cell phone before it was time to pick them up and yelled "Where are you?" when I answered. She thought I was the Door Dash driver but didn't even identify herself. Second, when we picked up the sandwiches, they were tied up in a bag, ready to go. Got them to the car and thought we better check them before we head out. Instead of 3 sandwiches there were only 2. Went back in and was told they were out of the pastrami so they cancelled that sandwich without telling us when we picked them up. One person would have been without a sandwich if we wouldn't have checked. We know it's a new business and will give them another chance because the sandwiches were delicious. Hopefully they'll earn...

I’m from Detroit…Was in the area for court…went there for lunch…. But had a pastrami sandwich on rye and it was amazing!!! Very similar to a restaurant in NY (Katz’s Deli) enough said… if you know… you know…. Wild definitely visit again! As far as service… the lady who answered the phone gave me directions to the restaurant… I got a bit turned around went through a toll… caught in traffic due to construction… but she was extremely helpful navigating me… the guy making the sandwiches went over and beyond… not too often in this day and age to receive the his kind of service… my sandwich was full of flavor…. Moist and juicy and piled high with meat for $20… kinda high but what’s not these days… I’ve paid $35 but I had to go all the way to NY to get it… give them a shot… you won’t be...

We had seen their reviews online and we were excited and looking forward to lunch....but NOT for long. Service was so slow...no one even made eye contact with us for 30 minutes while we sat at table . The customers sitting around us were patiently waiting for the kitchen help to get sandwiches made....but they only moved SLOWER!! We were extremely disappointed. The lack of courtesy and even engaging us made us decide to never visit here again. You cannot run a restaurant with high school kids...
