We were this past week with our grandkids. The campground was nice but it needed a little TLC and better cleaning of the bathhouses. Our site flooded when it rained. The nature part was great. Now the sad part. The spring area was a mess. Not managed well at all. Kids jumping off the walking bridge, trash everywhere, no workers present, very badly maintained. I see this place closing up in the next year or two due to people getting hurt or drownings because of lack of control over the place. The kayak rental place was a mess to. We rented some canoes and it was unorganized and out of control. in the rental shop. Love the spring but needs better control and better management over everything. Need to remove current management and put all new managers and employees in place. Also need life guards or a duty officers around the spring...

Spring pool is also nice, it was not crowded but the woman bathroom was super dirty, as well. Dogs are not allowed to be near the swimming area base on what the ranger told me on the phone. Canoe and kayak are available for rent and yes we got to see an alligators while kayaking.
There is a shopping plaza less than a mile with a Publix, CVS, fast-food rest,...

The campsites are large, making for easy access. Most are equipped with electric, water, and sewer. A quick survey of the site will show the best location for optimum distance of hose lengths. The springs are within easy walking distance, but expect the springs to be busy because they are so close to a metro area. The trails afford easy hiking and are well marked. The numbers on the trail map correspond to pole markers along the trail. The selfie poles with QRC codes are a nice touch. Overall, a relaxing experience that we...
