Used to be a nice peaceful place to visit and enjoy the natural Florida beauty. Now it's basically a frat party. Loud music of different genres being played by multiple groups, each trying to out loud the other. People drinking beers from glass bottles right next to the spring so they can break and you can cut yourself on them. Smokers throwing cigarette butts on the ground and/or the constant smell of cigarettes or weed. Not at all the family atmosphere it was even 5 years ago. Full of trash and I'm not talking about the garbage. I'd be embarrassed to tell my friends from out of town to go here anymore. Not to mention the hour line to get into the place, if you can get in at all. Not worth the trip any longer, but if you do plan to visit, it would probably be best to try on a weekday. Read moreI wish the park rangers were a bit more present, to many inconsiderate people blocking the stairs into the springs cause they can’t swim or aren’t observant to notice someone’s trying to walk through. Plenty of don’t jump or dive signs into the water for your own safety, you could paralyze yourself. Blatant disregard for their own safety or others swimming, music blasting. It’s criminal how disrespectful people are to others wanting a different experience..

Read moreThe swimming area is a ghetto party where the people do not follow posted rules. They bring alcohol and weed and consume both right next to the water while blasting music from speakers.
The boat launch says no swimming, but it is packed with swimmers and their dogs as soon as the rental place closes. The rangers came by once and told them to leave. That only lasted 30 seconds because they just came back once the rangers left.
