Started playing this course about a year and a half ago and it was making really good progress and I understand that these process take time. But today was my last time there for awhile until they can make the course playable. $50 for a round of golf to play in fairways that were identical to the roughs. Some of the holes you would lose your ball that was hit in the fairway. The tee boxes were extremely overgrown and you had to hit throw a jungle just to play.
The couple in front of us said they were members of the course and they were about to cancel their membership because of the course conditions. As someone who was the fence of getting a membership since I play it often and live close by, I will not anymore.
I would rather make the extra 15 minute drive to play Ventura where the fairways and greens are well maintained and pay $30. Even Twin Rivers who knows here course conditions aren’t want they should be due to grass repairs has decreased their price to $20 to play. Sweetwater needs to either mow the grass more often then just Monday or cut the price of their play in half to accommodate for the horrible conditions. But this course is not worth the...

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Sweetwater. Every time my brother and I play here, we’re treated like VIPs, and it’s largely thanks to Lee Mann. He truly goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and his leadership clearly sets the tone for the rest of the staff.
The cart guys, in particular, deserve a shoutout. They consistently go out of their way to wipe down our clubs and assist with our bags, even while juggling their duties of cleaning and detailing the carts. Their attention to detail and eagerness to help never goes unnoticed.
It’s amazing to see how much the course has transformed over the last year and a half. It’s in fantastic shape, and the improvements are evident. The team is clearly putting in the work, and it shows.
I’m already looking forward to my next round here and am seriously considering a membership. Kudos to everyone at Sweetwater for creating such an exceptional experience. Keep up the fantastic...
Read moreWell, played this course yesterday. Bought the group golfers certificate on line. I will start off by saying I don’t write reviews and as a former golf course owner in Canada, I don’t like to down grade any course. I had bought 4 rounds , and was going to play there a couple times with my wife. They have changed the holes on the first nine and never bother to change the signs some of the hole listed as a par four 400 yards long are now 199 par three. The greens were ok for most part but. The tees and fairways were basically unplayable the carts were the dirtiest I have had the pleasure of ever sitting on. The two extra rounds we had bought I sold them to people in the parking lot for half price, so I didn’t have to go back Long story short if you just don’t care about the game go ahead , if you want any kind of golf conditions find another course Sorry don’t want to offend anyone at the course but hate for this wonderful game to get dragged...
