Gambled here many times in the casino but this was my first time staying in the hotel. Got a king sized room in the Beachfront side. Room was ok, nothing fancy. Somewhat clean. Was still dirty on the bathroom counter and random hairs left also. The carpet is gross and I wouldn’t walk around f on it barefoot because it made my feet black. The bed was super stiff but the pillows were nice. No mini fridge. Called ahead and was told they would put one in the room for us, but wasn’t there.
LOTS and I mean LOTS of unruly kids running around with grumpy parents not supervising them. Was a kids birthday party happening when we were staying and they were letting their kids throw candy wrappers on the ground in the waterpark. Just because you brought your kids for a birthday party doesn’t mean they can act and do whatever they want. Screaming kids, crying kids, not a fun time at all.
The waterpark is not fun for adults whatsoever. Two larger slides for adults but that’s it. Just a bunch of kids and their parents who looked visibly grouchy. The water was also freezing. The teenager lifeguards also acted like they hate their lives and it showed. The guy working the breakfast buffet was super nice though!
The arcade just needs closed. Many of the machines broken down and there wasn’t much to start with. The token card machine also broken down. Photo Booth in the lobby broken down too. The man and lady in the arcade were both super friendly though.
The breakfast had a lot of items but the biscuits were rock hard. The eggs tasted weird and they only had two waffle irons for a ton of people. Just like the waterpark the parents were letting the kids run rampant in the breakfast area and the parents had no manners whatsoever either. Seriously parents, do better!
Kids yelling and running up and down the hallways at all hours too. The microwaves in the vending areas were beyond disgusting.
Most the staff at the hotel desk seemed like they hate their job. Except the very nice maintenance man, he gets a 10/10. No papers available in the morning like advertised because as I was told, “the parents let the kids use them as coloring books” smh.
The casino slots were super tight. Lots of empty alcohol and drink cups sitting around. Lots of overflowing ashtrays and ashes on the machines. Was playing electronic roulette and this girl who thought she was the main character sitting next to me was complaining about me smoking. (Yes I’m talking about you crazy fake eyelash girl!) It’s literally a casino, what do you expect?! Also, a lot of tweekers in the casino but that’s everywhere in this area. Good selection of games though, including red screens.
Food is mediocre at best. I recommend saving money and driving into Ark City to eat out. Had dinner at the restaurant in the casino. It was ok but no worth the prices. No room service for the hotel rooms.
Overall if the room wasn’t free and comped by the casino I wouldn’t have stayed here. It’s definitely become a place to let your kids run rampant while the parents get drunk and gamble. I’ve been on a lot of vacations and even cruises and NEVER seen such blatant disregard for their children’s behavior.
I don’t think I will stay here...
Read moreSo many issues with our stay. Issues with the room: After reading other reviews about bed bugs, we immediately checked for signs. While I didn't see evidence of bed bugs, there were 2 dead crickets in our pillowcases and stains on the sheets and bedcovers. The bedcovers on the bunk beds were covered in black droppings and stains. The shower head was so corroded the water just trickled out and they only provided 2 towels for a family of 4. The next day, after we spent time in the waterpark and attending a concert, we came back to our room very late and it had not been cleaned or restocked. I called the front desk and was told that they don't offer stayover service. Luckily we brought our own towels for the waterpark so we at least had towels to shower with. If they weren't going to offer service, this should have been made clear upon check-in. Issues with the arcade: 80% of the arcade games are ticket winning games. My children love those so we purchased a $50 game card. After using all the credits, we found an arcade employee to ask about cashing in the tickets. She (rudely) told us that they don't have a prize redemption center. I asked her what we were supposed to do with all the tickets that we won and she basically said that we were out of luck unless we wanted to come back in the future in case they ever get a redemption center. I complained that if they didn't offer ticket redemption, there should be signs making people aware. I was told that they used to have signs but the manager removed them because it made them look bad and people wouldn't buy the game cards. Issues with the staff: Only 1 staff member was friendly. We were traveling with small children and knew that they could not linger in the casino area. We asked a staff member (the friendly one) if we could walk through the casino to get to the restaurant. While he was giving us directions a security guard came over asking us why we were in the gaming area with children. We explained we were going to the restaurant (which is allowed according to staff and signage) and he very aggressively told us we needed to leave the gaming area. He followed behind us to the exit. Didn't even let us go to the restaurant. I wasn't planning on giving a 6 year old a gaming card and wishing her luck! Upon check-out, I told all of my concerns to the front desk attendant. She just said "I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay there's nothing I can do for you, here's your receipt". The only positive of our stay was the waterpark. It is clean and...
Read moreMy family and I were so excited to go to 7clans and check out the new waterpark. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed and our first stay will definitely be the last. When we arrived we played in the waterpark. After a few hours my sons asthma started acting up. I went up to our room to give him a breathing treatment. When I got to my room I setup his treatment but as I went to put him on the bed I saw there were multiple stands of hair on the pillow. After looking closer there was hair on 3 of 4 pillows. Which prompted me to look at the sheets and bedding closer. On top of the blanket there was a black dirt like substance as well as a stain on the comforter. I pulled the blanket back and I saw an orange soiled spot on the fitted sheet. The bedding had clearly not be changed. So I sat down on the couch to give my exhausted 4 year old his breathing treatment. He ended up falling asleep in my arms seeing how I was not going to have him lay in a dirty bed. I tried to call the desk but it just rang and rang. Around 4:30pm my husband stopped at the front desk on his way to the room. He explained what I had found and asked that they send someone up to change the bedding. They sent the security guard to investigate. I showed him the problem and he said “yeah it looks like they didn’t change it. That’s disgusting. I will let them know”. We headed out for dinner assuming the bedding would be changed while we were out. Wrong! When we got back to the hotel around 9pm the dirty bedding was still on the bed. My husband went to the desk to ask again for our bed to be cleaned. Security was all he could find. Security explained that housekeeping had already left for the day so they were just going to give us 20% off of our room rate. My husband responded with “that’s great but I can’t sleep on 20% off. I need clean sheets”! The security guard then went and unlocked the housekeeping room and gave him bedding for us to change ourselves. They gave us 20% off but I would have much rather had a clean bed that we didn’t have to make ourselves. A simple apology, an I’m sorry, a tiny sense of remorse... That is all it would have taken to make me feel a little better about our stay. On a side note, the shower also had hair all over the walls. For $218 ($175 after the discount) the only thing I asked for/wanted was a clean bed. I didn’t feel like that was out of line.
