Flatwater Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Arkansas City

Sat down at the bar and a cockroach ran across my foot, didn’t think anything of it until our nachos came out and we noticed there were more than 20 cockroaches crawling in and out of the bar taps and the backing behind the bar. When we mentioned it to the bartender he said there was nothing he could do “at this time”. Appalled we went to speak with the manager on duty. We had planned on having the prime rib buffet that evening but will not if there are cockroaches in the restaurant. Spoke with the manager on duty, her response was (shiver) “ugh that’s gross. We just sprayed so they are obviously on the move. I would have just sat at a table.” Ummm thank you but no thank you, that response acknowledged the cockroach issue, but the solution is to sit somewhere else so you don’t see them, instead of doing the right thing, shutting the restaurant down to spray the entire restaurant. Will never eat any food from this casino again. Mind you the closest food option besides a gas station is 20 miles away. Amazing food and service. Rocky, the new manager, seems to be an awesome guy. The attentiveness of the staff and quality of food has improved. We caught a night with prime rib, along with the rest of the amazing buffet, and I was pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend and I absolutely love 7 Clans casino, so to have an improvement in the restaurant is a huge plus. We have yet to stay at the resort, but everything that we have experienced over the last year that we've bounced through the area has been improving at 7 Clans. This doesn’t even rate one star! We ate there two times and both times were a total failure. The first time we ordered hamburgers and waited 45 minutes and there was only one other table of customers there. Second time ordered the soup a salad and sandwich. It was busy but still waited an hour for food. Couldn’t even eat the sandwich because it was horrible. Had to ask waitress for more tea. One customer sent their food back and a lot of customers were definitely leaving food on their plates when leaving. Also had to wait 20 minutes both times for our receipt so we could pay. Will...
