Relax Inn — Hotel in Ashdown

I was traveling with my fiance back to our hometown and we wanted a place to freshen up after being in the car for 17hrs. We stopped at this motel because it said newly remolded, what we thought would be a decent place to clean up was absolutely NOT! The shower was filthy it had bugs in it and the comforters smelled like body odor. The front check-in staff was horribly rude. We cleaned the shower ourselves and made due after being there about an hour my fiances brother stopped be to say hello. They chatted while I was continuing getting ready, after about ten minutes I received a phone call from the front desk stating that if more then two people intended on staying it would be 5$ extra. I informed her he was just a visiting and would be leaving shortly she just hung up. At check-out she was equally as rude and actually screamed at me about being ten minutes late to check-out. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY...

This Relax Inn is one of those U-shaped little single-story roadside motels that were everywhere in the 1940s and 50s. The parking area is well-lit and has plenty of room to back around and navigate. It's right next door to a big EZ Mart convenience store. You park directly in front of your room and walk right in. The room was immaculately clean, with a big flat-screen TV, all the Direct TV channels, a four-cup coffeemaker, refrigerator freezer, desk and chair, bedside table, with an easy-reach wall switch, and a terrific queen-sized bed. Very uncomfortable bed and pillows. The bed is rock hard. The room sinks like stale body odor. What really perplexed me the most was the price. I was quoted $45 on the phone. Got here and she told me $50, with tax. I didn't think much about it, as we've been on the road all day and my toddler is exhausted and crying. With Arkansas sales tax, the price should have been almost $48. Now that's not alot more... But if they are doing that with everyone... They are making a profit off that little lie.
