Breakfast was nonexistent: orange juice, coffee(?), Kroger chocolate wafer bars, 2 glazed donuts, 2 tiny cellophane wrapped muffins. No fruit, no milk, no cereal, no utensils so we ended up at Bob Evan’s. Mattresses were lumpy, room was dusty but otherwise OK. The first room we were assigned to had a TV that was teetering on the brink of falling over & was pointing toward the floor. We called FD & the attendant came to the room & had extreme difficulty (language barrier) understanding our concern & almost accused us of breaking it. She eventually agreed to move us to a different room. When asked about breakfast, she simple said at 6 in the morning. Pictures show breakfast, dust on the TV & stand & dirt in the refrigerator handle area. This motel obviously gets lots of construction workers, based on the signs asking guests to remove their muddy shoes before entering & the construction trucks in the parking lot. We have no problem with this, just be aware staying on the parking lot side means early morning vehicle noise. Frankly, for $100, this Wyndham branded property is a detriment to the name & brand.

I was staying two nights during long weekend. No coffee maker , no Kleenex, broken hair dryer. It was dark everywhere. Not possible to do make up in the bathroom because the lights were like 15 watts. The same in the room. My room was in the middle of the hallway. I was coming back from vending machine at night , it was dark and with the card of my room I opened the room two doors closer by a mistake. It was a man sleeping with the radio on. After seconds I realized it wasn’t my room. I WAS SHOCKED HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN !!! HOW COULD I OPEN SOMEBODY’S ROOM WITH MY CARD??? Imagine you leave something of value and trust your room is locked. It was practically no breakfast for a price of almost a $100. No cereal , no toast only a few sweet rolls. On Monday morning there’re leftovers from Saturday , all the time displayed , only orange juice was added and weak coffee. No clerk on duty until 9 am , when I check out and pushed the bell , he greeted me in his pajama. This chain is going down very fast. Never more Super 8.

Booked here while on a motorcycle trip to ride the Hocking Hills area. This was the only hotel in the area under $200/night that had vacancies. I now know why… Rooms were ok, actually better than any other motel 8 I have stayed in. Service was terrible. Very surly, non communicative staff. The night clerk straight up refused to answer questions regarding their TV system. Highly recommend you not stay here unless the owners change out and properly train and supervise their staff.

This is THE worst hotel I've ever stayed at. My boyfriend and I went on a camping trip in Athens over the weekend and on our last night there it started getting very cold and snowy. We called around for hotel rooms because we were camping in a tent and didn't want to suffer through the cold. This Super 8 was the only hotel with vacancy that wasn't outrageous in price considering we were checking in at 10p and leaving first thing the next morning. So my boyfriend and I pull up and I hand him my credit card like I do every time we stay in a hotel and let him go in to book the room since every other hotel in America lets you do so. Then my boyfriend proceeded to tell the guy that we want to just pay cash in the morning. Well the guy starts getting rude with my boyfriend telling him that he has to have gas money (why? I don't know, this is a hotel not a taxi service) and I have to go in because it was my credit card we were using. The guy rudely proceeds to tell me that they have to charge my card that night and then they have to charge it again in the morning when we go to check out and that I would have to wait ten days to get that second charge back on my card. He told me he has to assure he gets paid for the room and that's the way they do it. So then by that time my boyfriend and I are so fed up with the rudeness we decide to just not use the card and pay cash up front. So the guy then proceeds to tell me that when using cash he has to have a $50 deposit that we get back after they check our room the next morning. He sends his security guard outside to check our vehicle to make sure that there were only two of us. Finally after we get through the check in process and the poor customer service from this jerk we pull our vehicle around to park and we enter to our room through a back door in the building and his secure guard follows us to our room. The nest morning when we went to check out, it was the same guy and he was very rude to us during the check out process, we were waiting to get our $50 deposit back while at the same time another young lady is waiting to check out. So the guy at the desk sends his wife back to check our room and she calls him from our room to let him know that everything is okay. The woman standing beside is us is just as fed up as we are as she quietly mumbled to us. Just the customer service alone is enough to drive people away and they didn't seem like they cared if they did just that. Most places tend to the guests' needs and try to accommodate them any way they can so that they spend their money there and continue to come back, but not these people. They...

This was the worst place we have ever stayed in, and we travel a lot. Our first morning, we smelled cigarette smoke in our room, though it is clearly marked as non smoking. We went to the desk to request a different room, and the owner first denied that there was a smoke smell. I offered to show her, and she refused. She then offered to give me a towel to put under my door and block out the smell. Seriously. I said that was unacceptable, and that we wanted a different room. She refused again, saying that everything was booked up - despite the fact we were one of three cars in the parking lot. We considered leaving, but we figured that they wouldn't refund our money, and, gathering from the other reviews on Yelp, is likely true and we probably would have gotten yelled at for our trouble on top of it. The smoke smell consistently showed up in the mornings at the same time, but it was never clear from where.

The rudeness and terrible customer service is compounded by the creepiness of the hotel. Our room on the first floor overlooked a barbed wire fence. One night when we came back in, a man pulled up in front of the hotel in a white service truck. He had a dirty t-shirt, shorts, and no shoes. The man then followed us into the hotel. I am so glad my husband was with me, as our key to swipe into the hotel was not working and we were basically closed into the vestibule with him. We call the front desk, the owner shows up. The man requests to "just come in and use the bathroom", and the owner LETS HIM, even though he was not a guest and it was after midnight!! He then proceeds to question US if we were really guests or not because our key did not work. SERIOUSLY.

This place is truly the worst we have ever stayed in. The owners are rude, and the conditions are unsafe. If we had known about the previous reviews we would never have booked with them. Do not come here if you are nonsmokers, or if you have a family or are traveling alone. It gets one star for cleanliness, and negative five stars for...

So there is some personal bad, some bad room needs, but it was cheap, but free and the front desk was very friendly and nice. I was a female who was traveling alone and stayed here one night. I had requested a room closer to the office but it was just a request. The only thing is I was put in the last room in the back on the back second building. So it was a little scary. However again that’s just a coincidence. Now the room had updated furniture for the room type. The top blanket and the brown fuzzy blanket were way too worn out, but were clean and the sheets were as well. No bugs which was great and the room was mostly clean. The issue is that there was dust and dirt everywhere around corners and on the a/c. And there was all kinds of things on the bathroom walls and doors. And if I could see better I’m sure the walls too. It for sure needed a paint job, especially the bathroom and entry doors. Like I’m pretty sure I saw some boogers on the door wall. But the tub, toilet ect were clean. It just really needs a deeper cleaning. And the tub had several brown stains and marks that need to be painted or resurfaced. Very dated bathroom. Oh and you could hardly shut the bathroom door because it hit the toilet . I had to stand to the side of the toilet/shower to close the door. Plus the maid came to my room at 10:25 and wanted to hurry me to check out. I was doing a late check out but I still had 30 minutes till the regular one. So overall the bathroom really needs an update and it needs a deep cleaning and paint job. No breakfast to talk about, but close to many options. I wouldn’t actively choose to stay here again because of the reasons stated above, I would rather pay a little more for nicer. But I have also stayed in way worse. However the room location in the back is an issue for me but not a negative...
