I called to reserve my room, a quiet suit. When I called to check on my room on the way there I was informed the lady I booked my room with booked a regular queen room. When we arrived, our room had a dirty moldy smell to it. We didn't have any soap in our room, we didn't have any shampoo, conditioner, and only a couple of towels. When we asked for more the maid said she was instructed by the manager not to give out any more towels unless she picked up dirty towels. We had 5 people in our family and didn't have a towel per person, and this was our first night there. Also, the toilet paper was almost empty, so we had to get that from the front desk, both nights we stayed there. Since we didn't get the room we booked we had to purchase an air mattress was an extra expense we weren't planning.
If this wasn't bad enough. The next day we were heading to our event and took the elevator. It stopped somewhere between the third and second floors. We used the call button, and a lady answered and said ok we will send someone to look. No other information was given the whole time we were in there. Next thing we know someone is jumping on the top of the elevator. My husband pushed the call button again and again we were given no information. A man, I think was the maintenance man was trying to wedge the door open with a broom. He was yelling at us not to push buttons, and we tried to explain we were not pushing buttons, but he just kept yelling. At this point, I was trying hard to keep it together in front of my children, but it was getting difficult. I still can't figure out why the fire department wasn't called, and why nobody would give us any information. When we finally did get out, about 20-30 minutes later, Not one hotel staff asked if we were ok, if we needed anything. The maintenance man just told us to move out of the way. I asked if they were going to put a sign on the elevator and he said no it works fine.
Now this brings me to the last morning there before we left. We were sitting on the sofa in the check-in area, and it broke. Again, not apologize, just asked us to move and was treated like we were an inconvenience. At this point my husband and I just wanted to get out of there for fear our children would get hurt being...
Hotel seemed clean — appeared to be fresh paint in hallway. THEN… woke up just after 2 am itching like crazy on several parts of my body. Got up, turned on light & turned back covers. BEDBUGS!!! Called front desk. Lady (Ramona) came pretty quickly. I had collected several of the bugs in a tissue. She grabbed it out of my hand and said, “we need to get rid of this” and flushed it down the toilet. She had brought clean linens but refused to help put them on. Said she could not move us to a different room as there were none available. Silly me, thinking the problem was fixed went back to sleep. Woke again shortly after 4 with MORE bugs in my bed!!! Moved to the other bed which my cousin was sleeping in. After that neither of us got any more sleep. A bit later, I went to the front desk and spoke with Val. Asked for the manager and, of course, he wasn’t there. She would not give me his name or a time he was expected. I asked about a refund of our room charges. She, of course, was not authorized to offer that. So, could you have the manager call me? Her response to EVERY question was, “the manager has been notified.” Could you make sure you have my number? “The manager has been notified.” Could you read me back the number you have so I know it is correct? “The manager has been notified.” Etc etc. no empathy. No answering of simple questions. Overall flat out rude! The manager (Ken) finally called me about 5pm!!! Said he had tried to call several times earlier but I didn’t answer. Finally looked up my number on my loyalty account and found that Val had written it down….. one digit off!!! Accident? I’m thinking not given how rude she was! He said he would “immediately address the issue” and process a refund to my credit card. Still waiting (one week later) for the refund. Would NOT stay here again!!! Problem and further more how they addressed it both totally...
Read moreAbout 7:45 a.m., a member of housekeeping started going up and down the hallway loudly shouting, "Housekeeping!" She was banging on doors and even though I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door, she knocked on my door. 20 minutes later, she was walking by my door again yelling, "Housekeeping!" Very annoyed by the experience, when I left my room at 8:45 a.m., I wanted to mention something to the front desk clerk about that experience, but there was no one at the front desk. When I got to the breakfast area, I realized why there was no one at the front desk - all the tables were full of 6 members of hotel staff in uniform eating breakfast at the tables along with what appeared to be family/friends of theirs dining with them. I ended up having to stand at the bar area to eat my breakfast...there were barstools, but I have back problems and can't get on a barstool. After standing and eating my breakfast because hotel staff and family were taking up all the table space, I tried to get a glass of orange juice on my way out, but the juice was empty...no doubt from all the hotel staff lavishly dining and enjoying the breakfast intended for hotel guests. I left my key on the still-unoccupied front desk and on my way out encountered 2 staff members in uniform and one of the family members/friends that had been eating breakfast standing in the entrance of the hotel outside smoking. I walked through the cigarette smoke and left the hotel extremely displeased...
