This is a new and upcoming campground. They have 70 gravel level sites, full hook up, new shower house, and a view! This is sure to become a good RV destination when completely finished. Altho they do need to work on first appearances of the entrance and signage. (We almost missed it) (was a little concerned when first entering) I was surprised at the cleanliness of the grounds. The water is surprisingly crystal clear for being in Michigan. (If you ever stayed in MI you know about the high iron in the water) We are currently the only campers here, for some reason they have issues with their site saying they are fully booked, I guarantee you that is not the case. They have a sign on the door welcoming walk-in campers. I would be sure to call the office or after hours number to be sure tho. I will say even tho it is still a work in progress, it is better here than most we have stayed in the UP. I will say give them a visit and enjoy the view! Only con I have, and I'm sure most will, m28 traffic noise during the day. But that is not the camp owners fault and it is barely noticeable. Plus you will be out enjoying pictured rocks at that time anyway! We stayed at site #8 which is closest to the M28. I suggest further in if you want silence.

We booked late for Labor Day weekend and we are just happy that this place still have some spot for us. 4 Days camping. RV park but tents are welcome. We are tent camping. It is an open field. Pebbles and gravel. Make sure to have tarp under the tent to not destroy your tent and stake your tent down well and good. It was very windy 2 out of 4 days we camp. We thought it will blow away our tent. Shower rooms could use some more TLC. Bathrooms are clean. However, during our stay it wasn't noise free. ATV/ORV would arrive past 10 pm and you know how much noise they make? They are loud. Either leaving early or arriving late. And there were campers that stayed up and chatting/drinking maybe 'till 1-2 a.m. and they were loud. The noise rule was never followed by other campers. Maybe the ones staying in their RVs would not hear them but since we are tent campers, they are loud for us. No one was there from the campsite staff to monitor the campers so campers do whatever pleases to them amd this one, some inconsiderate people stayed and talk past 10 pm and until 1-2 a.m. yeah we kept track of the time. This place is about 30 mins from Pictured Rock National Park-FYI.

Nice newer campground with pretty level concrete or rock pads. Spaced with offsets, RV’s are not next to each other, there is quite a bit of room between spaces. We stayed in a 50 amp concrete slab that was larger than our 40’ Motorcoach. The approach & streets are crushed rock which is fine. clean campground, great for birdwatchers. We saw Horned Larks for the first time ever there. Munising is the closest small town which has plenty of places to eat, ship wreck & pictured rock boat tours & gift shops for souvenirs. Munising & the area has a rich history.

Nice little, new RV park that offers FHU, WiFi. We were in spot 54, which is close to the restrooms and showers. WiFi worked very well for us. 6 total showers, 2 are handicap accessible. Saw the man clean the showers daily with a power washer and soap. Decent shower pressure and warm water. Yes there are bugs in there, but its the UP man, so deal with it. The bathrooms were good, the ladies had 3 stalls, 3 sinks, the counter is lower also for handicap accessibility. They were also cleaned daily. The men’s bathroom is where they could improve, 2 urinals with one stall… seems like another stall would be much appreciated by the men. They have laundry onsite that is within the restroom/shower facilities. They only have one washer one dryer. They do have hookup for another set, which i feel is needed. ||||TIps on what site to ask for…. 50 and 51 have the ABSOLUTE best views. Most of the sites that are on the perimeter would be good. I was on 54 which is on the inside near the facilities. It was fine. Most sites are back in, and gravel sites, only saw a few that were pull thru with a slab. Please for the love of god, do not ever ever get site 17. It is literally right NEXT to the bathrooms and a garbage can, you HAVE NO YARD at all… I have no idea why its even a site offered. It is ridiculous. Unless it’s free, lol, the site across from 17 is just as silly… i would also caution that you look at their website and see the inside sites to see just how big it is… and TRY TO GET a PERIMETER site. Staff was very nice, bathrooms were clean. Of note, people ca be slobs and not clean up after themselves. This is not the fault of the management..being so close to the facilities i did see that they were cleaned daily. One other tip is, the people behind us played loud music until after midnight for a few nights… we never complained but I wish it was stated more firmly...

Pulled into this park after the mosquitoes drove us out of the bay furnace campground 0.3 miles down the road (Bay furnace is an awesome rustic campground, but record bugs there drove us out). This RV park had several full hook up sites available for the remaining 3 nights, so I happily paid the money! What an improvement and saved the vacation. Now this is a very new campground, they are working at getting the grass to fill in. Sites are well laid out and angled, so easy to back into. Very wide and level gravel sites. It is the UP, so with new grass it is a bit dusty and sandy as expected. One nice thing I saw was a water truck driving around all the roads keeping the dust down. This was even during the week when they were not super full. Sign was hard to see from the road and they were in the process of moving it. Bathrooms are brand new and seemed nice. Staff was excellent, very personable. Even gave us directions for a nice little rough road/Jeep trail to paradise point. Ended up going out there twice to see sunsets and explore the rocky shore and cliffs. What an awesome experience. Nice size blocks of firewood for a good price also. Keep in mind it is a brand new RV park and they are working to finish and improve it which just takes time, especially with the weather of the UP. But it was great and the crew was fantastic. We...

We drove in and was able to get a spot. The worker was really friendly and even had a map for us so we could tour the falls. The sites are very large. The placement of the fire rings are at the end of the sites. The bathrooms were a good size and in the middle of the campground which was nice. The showers are individual with locking doors on the out side of the bathrooms, so that was nice. They had a bench you could move around in the shower if someone needs to sit to shower. They are still under construction so things are finished yet. The cons to the campground is that we had a camp site that Faced another camper. It was slightly annoying as we didn’t know them. It would have been good for families. Another little thing I noticed is, and like I said is little. When you painted the bathrooms and peeled the tape around the doors, make sure to peel all the tape off. Don’t leave strips still there. The showers didn’t smell like fresh paint so they have been there a while. The little things count on appearances. One last thing. Make the sign more visable at the road. You don’t see it till you have passed it when you are coming from Munising. (Just a suggestion.) Otherwise it suited our needs as we just needed a place to sleep. They do have plans for the future, and that is to add a pool. The future will be good for this...
