Bought several items at Brooks, and was initially pleased with the service and quality. One of the items we purchased was a king mattress and boxspring. It felt good for about 5 months, then gradually started showing wear on one side,so we started rotating it every other time we laundered the sheets. The sagging always stayed on the one side. They sent two gentlemen out to check it ( because it has a "10 year warranty)and they determined that it did, in fact, have severe sagging , especially since it was less than a year old. One of the gentlemen even mentioned that they had experienced multiple problems of a similar nature with other mattresses from this manufacturer. We were, however, immediately denied the repair or replacement gauranteed in the warranty because the tag was not on the mattress. Neither my husband nor I removed the tag. So, we are left with a one year old, not inexpensive, mattress which is always uncomfortable for one of us. Additionally, the mattress slides terribly on the boxspring base and the navy fabric on the boxspring ( which I had never seen before) shows through every sheet set I have tried, and our top sheet.Very unattractive, unless you have very dark sheets and toppers. However, post sale their customer service takes a nose dive. When we had issues with the high end furniture we purchased from them they were not friendly or eager to assist. We even purchased the extend warranty that they offered and still were not helpful. My mom is 76 years old and had a manufacturers defect with her $2,000 Southern Motion sofa. This was her 1st purchase from Brooks Furniture and she purchased over $4,000 in custom order furniture. When she spoke to the owner Robin Brooks and he was extremely rude to her. Reluctantly, they finally ordered a new part for the sofa and sent a 3rd party to fix. He completely the repair and pointed out another defect on the right side that also need to be fixed on the sofa that is less than a year old. He called Brooks Furniture asking to complete this repair while he was at her home by they told him no. I would not recommend doing business...
Read moreThis is my 2nd time purchasing from Brooks Furniture. The first time we bought a Lay-Z-Boy recliner and had a positive experience. My wife and I were greeted promptly by Cindy who was at the desk and asked us what we were looking for. After we told her we were looking for sectionals, she walked us around the store and showed us all of the pieces that were in stock and the pieces that could be customized by special order. Nearly all of the powered furniture was plugged in so you can try them in the store. Cindy was extremely knowledgeable of all the products and never made us feel pressured to purchase anything. We ended up buying a sofa and loveseat and had it scheduled to deliver.
