McKinney Falls State Park Campground — Hotel in Austin

Spent a night camping at site #55 at McKinney Falls State Park and couldn’t have asked for a better setup. The campsite was conveniently close to two bathrooms and a shower, making the stay more comfortable. We hiked and biked across the entire park, enjoying the stunning landscapes along the way. Beautiful park very close to Austin. Very popular either families, dog owners and runners. I was there when it opened on a Saturday and you can enjoy it in solitude for about 2-3hrs before the crowds start arriving. Still a great experience. Only reason for 4 stars is it’s not a very good place to fish unless you’re fishing for sunfish. Would highly recommend for a day with friends/family...

First time to stay here and quite frankly disappointed. We reserved our stay months ago and when we arrived our site wasn't mowed and trash all around. Tall grass everywhere.
