It was a horrible shopping experience with an OK ending. I initially bought a $500 serta mattress online, received a confirmation email saying I was gonna get the mattress delivered and set up in my room on Sept 2. As a new comer who desperately wanna move out from Airbnb, I got anxious and checked in person on Sept 2- was told there was never any delivery scheduled.

I told the sales service that I really need to have mattress today and my budget was $500. Brandon was enthusiastic at first but got inpatient when realized my budget of $500 was firm, and he went to help another “bigger customer”. While waiting for him, his colleague took over and helped me. He was walking from a distance and speaking in a raised voice “if you want anything nice with that budget, maybe financing one?” and walked away. For the rest of the whole visit he acted like I didn’t exist.

I explained to him at first that I’m only here for few years so I’m looking for something nice, with a good deal so I can enjoy it while not feeling wasting money if I have to dispose it. I can’t understand why someone who suppose to help you for purchasing can get so condescending. A sales person should know that a budget is not what you can afford, but the amount that you are willing to pay for that item.

Long story short I got a mattress that was easily to carry back home by car, but not what I wanted for that budget. So I drove right back and returned it. I appreciate the manager was able to offer viable solutions and helped to solve the problem in a way I’m comfortable with. If my budget is incompatible with the available options, I should be informed and asked whether I’m willing to increase it a little bit, instead of trying $600-700 mattress then getting told that they are “a little bit over my budget”. When I went in the store it was empty except for the manager, she was very polite and asked what size bed I was looking for. Queen ultra plush and she brought me over to the Beautyrest Black which I would love to get for my house bed but I was looking for a mattress for my RV. And as comfortable as that mattress was I wasn't putting it in the RV that I only pretty much spend two weeks a year sleeping in it. I looked on line but it's not a newer mattress they have in the stores but I wanted to see if they had something similar to feel it and lay down on it. But really don't have anything close to it because she said that she didn't have much knowledge of the particular mattress I wanted but the closest one she had was this mattress that has about 50 to 75 more coils in it but was the closest to it and it not as comfortable as the First one I tried but it was comfortable enough for what I was going to use it for and for the money spent on it all I can do is hope for the best. It's supposed to be delivered on September 6th so I will have my RV ready for it then and after I spend a night on it I will write another review about the mattress but anything will be more comfortable than...

We Went looking for mattresses on Friday and after two disappointing stops elsewhere, we stumbled upon Mattress Firm in Avon on our way to Ikea.

We were greeted enthusiastically by Fred Siegel. Fred spent lots of time answering our questions. He patiently explained all the different levels of bedding and qualities. In a complexed world of so many brands & choices out there today, we were happy that he was so knowledgeable and knew his product so well. At no time was there any pressure. We felt we saved a lot of money because of the upcoming holiday sale weekend, and was given an extra Black ice luxury pillow free after purchasing one. I needed to call three times about the scheduling for delivery and he happily accommodated those changes. Fred has an engaging sense of humor, is focused in on the customers needs, and is genuinely a very nice sincere man.
