We found this hotel a few years ago and it was very nice. We enjoyed going and staying there while on business. However, once it was sold and the new owners took over the quality has gradually gone down this time we stayed the air conditioning leaked there were several of the rooms that the doors were left open. The beds are made no refrigerators in the room. The service was terrible. The property looks unkept. There were no hangers to hang our clothes. We called the number. They told us to go into another room and take the robes off hangers and use those hangers. That’s pretty cheap. If you can’t provide hangers for your guests, the pillows used to be very comfortable now they’re just Like foam sponges. I asked about a refrigerator cause we like to have cold water and they asked me if I booked a room with a refrigerator and I kind of chuckled and laughed and said well Dont all the rooms have refrigerators. They said no, and then I could go into one of the other rooms and bring a refrigerator and put it into my room, which I did. This property has the potential to be one of the best in this little city of Bainbridge and advertising cafés Sinclair is misleading. There is no...
Read moreSuperb redevelopment of an old hotel. Rooms (eight I think) are individually named and decorated. Prices are very reasonable, considering the quality. The largest room, Green Suite, is mid-200s all in. There is a cafe where you can self-host visitors, drink your own wine; just leave the glasses for the cleaning staff. There is an elevator for those with mobility issues. The weather was nice, in March, so we went out on the balcony overlooking Willis Park and had nice conversation and drinks. The hotel was about 3/4 full on our two night visit, but the facility was so quiet we thought we were the only ones' there. Bainbridge's best restaurants (American, Sam and Suzies, Isaacs) and alcohol (Speakeasy and Southern Philosophy) are easy walking distance. Free Parking is readily available on the street, within a few feet of the entrances. Cleanliness was excellent and fixtures and bedding were of the highest quality. It is self-serve on your bags, using your phone as your door code. I will definitely use again...
Read moreWe stayed at the Willis Hotel in the La Chambre Terrier room while in town for a wedding. Although we arrived late, well past check-in, the process was seamless. We received clear instructions via text on how to download the electronic key app, along with the entry code and parking directions. No issues at all getting in. The room had electronic key cards for both the side door and the room itself, making it very convenient.||Parking was easy—we parked at the park directly across from our room, within view. The streets were well-lit, and the area felt safe and charming. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the A/C and TV working perfectly. The bathroom was impressively large as well.||The building itself is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a larger vanity in the bathroom, as there’s ample space for it, and maybe a task light for makeup. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if given the...
