Best Western Plus Landmark Hotel — Hotel in Ballard

Has horse and cattle lot right behind it. Smell it in rooms! Bring air freshener! Flies everywhere outside! Weekend breakfast was cheap quality. All too spicy, sweet, bland, or poor quality each day so stuck to coffee. No good meat like bacon or ham slices or potatoes like other BW. They cater to the local temp oil workers, traveling labor, so nothing fancy here, just basic level. Sink leaked, lower shelves in bathroom never cleaned, thick dust. Clean otherwise. Price and location better for Skinwalker ranch tour than Vernal. Except for one guy, not the friendliest vibe from front desk and never are up front at it. Not a real friendly welcoming area for outsiders anyway..reservation territory. No blame here. Tourist can be a pain anyway..forget to pack their manners and respect for locals home. Still, would prefer staying here again to Marriotts and other WAY overpriced places in Vernal during Phenomecon at 300+ a night. Just get room in front away from cows, bring neutra air spray, eat better breakfast out in downtown cafes. Don't expect fake, smiling kiss your butt welcome waiting at...

Even though the rooms are clean and nice, they lie to you in regards to their breakfast service. Food is burnt, harder then a rock, or not in stock. They use real plates and I have yet to see them stocked. You wait for them to bring them out and I have seen people wait over 15 minutes to get a plate. You come down hoping to have a decent meal before you leave and travel home. This does not happen. This is not my first stay here and every time they have left me disappointed. Website states one thing and what you get ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!! The insult my intelligence by telling me that they take these things seriously. Well after three stays I have yet to see things improve. These rooms can cost upwards of $179. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I have paid this price at other Best Western Plus hotels and they have had AMAZING breakfast and service. This one has yet to meet my expectations even though they say they will make changes. I had made reservations for the conference room and also a room the conference room was set up just great anything we needed Austin was right on top of it thank you Austin I had made a mistake with the room reservations thank God I received a confirmation E-mail the day of and realised my mistake I called the hotel Lynn was able to fix it right away.
