Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Ballard

Everything was just okay. I kept seeing this restaurant off the side of the highway, and I always wondered how it was. Now I know.

When we entered, they said we had to go in a separate room, all the way to the right. It was small.

The server took our order, brought back chips and salsa, and then disappeared for a while. A group of oil patch guys came in and sat next to us, and the waitress took their order. She then came back multiple times to talk to them, where a few questionable conversations happened. She was flirting and laughing. I can only assume she knew them and dated someone in the group along those lines.

Finally our meal came out. There was only one meal that looked good, and our party member said tasted good, and that was the steak tacos. The rest of our meals were just okay.

Based on this experience, I have no desire...

That was awful - the fish taco smelled literally like flatulence and the couple of bites I tried tasted awful - it was the saddest looking tilapia I’ve ever seen , not breaded and not fried. No lime or lemon offered with it either. The tortillas were dry and tough Chicken quesadilla was bland , tough and dry tortilla The salsa smelled and tasted like metal or tin The waitress was nice and her service was better than one star WAY overpriced 1/5 , will not be eating there ever again booooooooooooooo and extra gross I’m chalking up the money I spent tonight as a learning experience so I don’t feel like it was a total waste , but it was...

The service was courteous and prompt...that's the only reason it got two stars. Maybe the Texan in me is just expects more from my Mexican food, or maybe the special (some Cajun pasta dish) should've been a red flag. The salsa had too much cilantro the chips tasted old and my carnitas were burnt. The beans and rice had absolutely no flavor to them at all. Also the margaritas were very weak. Save your money, the slop at taco bell has more flavor as horrible as it is. Worst...
