the place leads directly to the beach, the pool area is nice, the pool is quite small though. the place is child friendly overall quite practical, a gate needs to be added at the side to ensure children don’t go where all the paint/ garden équipement and other sort of stuff is stored.
however it has not been value for money from our point of view. we feel we paid to much for what we got: the flat is a nice size but the standard of cleaning were pretty disappointing and that’s not okay: not when you travel half the globe to get there. the floor were very sticky and our feet were black within minutes walking barefoot on the tiled floor, not ideal when you have a young child that does spend a lot of time on the floor. then we notice that there was hair in the bathroom, the magnifying mirror was clean on one side only... there was mark off spillage near the toilet paper holder we noticed food stains in the kitchen on skirting boards, etc. there was some boards with missing bolt on the wall near the fridge, which make the place look unkept. broken and lose tile the sofa and armchair were both stained.
thats was not all: there is a cupboard with the air con/ boiler which was totally at reach of our child and we feel that’s a safety hazard. the fan in the bedroom make such a noise in our room we had to switch it off which then made our room very hot... specially during the night. the kitchen is equipped but it lacks a frying pan. the TV were not working, took us a while to make them work and only one of the remote controls out of the two TV works
we made a list and fed that back to reception, just because we believe in constructive criticism so that things can improve. they reply/ excuse was that previous customer staying in the accommodation were very dirty no very customer service type of phrase to say, what are they going to say about us!!!
although they reassured us that cleaners would come to mop the floors, there was no way that the floor were thoroughly cleaned the next day as promised. or really we don’t have the same understanding of what cleaning means.
further dowside is that never at any stage management try to link with us to see if we were happy or followed up. there was no suggestions about offering us an alternative or maybe a discount after the circumstances...
we used the washing machine, there was a lady who was doing the facilities laundry and because she was using all the machine she took the liberty of mooving our clothing from one machine to another which was more a less another way to make us understand that she needed all the machine. Why making machine available ilto customers if you are going to monopolize them. we just felt that it’s wasn’t very customer friendly again!
we did observe the pool being cleaned while we were in it (really??!!!) and some other person changing the probable for the barbecue also at around the same time, surely these can be done early during the day.
the staff approach is overall lay back, which is fine when the customer feel valued and respected. otherwise it looks that the customer is taken for a milking cow. there is no justification for that price regardless of the high season, there is no school holidays either. we will...
Read moreGO ELSEWHERE. This was our second year staying here at this “condo”. First of all, there is new management and it has went drastically downhill from our stay last year. There is no office access. We saw multiple people trying to access the office, obviously it was not communicated to them that this is now a “no contact” facility. 2nd complaint- there were SEVERAL huge bags of laundry sitting outside on the patio of said “office” for days. 3rd complaint- the 4 people “on staff” who were of which no identification that they were employees until we saw them with brooms, mops, etc. They were extremely RUDE. In example, a larger heavy set man was there and we asked him to unlock the laundry room so we could do our laundry. He was very rude in his response and asked what we needed and if it was personal items or needing towels, we said personal items and he laughed and said “ok, well it should be open”, not offering to open the doors for us after we just told him it was locked. So, we found the second employee on staff who was identified with a “maintenance” name tag, and asked him if he would open the laundry room for us, he kindly opened them for us. 4th complaint- there was another said employee that was not uniformed violently pushing the chairs in the patio and taking guests personal towels that were laid out on chairs to their laundry basket. He was also going up to guests who were eating and asking them if they were finished with their food. He was very rude to interact with and he was not professional in any manner, just as the heavy set gentleman. 5th complaint- MOLD. There was mold all on the inside of our shower and growing on the shower curtain. 6th complaint- This is the icing on top of the cake- our flight was scheduled to leave very early, so we had to get up and going around 3 am. Waking up and walking into the kitchen, there were not one, but TWO COCKROACHES crawling on the floor!!!! My phone was not with me and as soon as I moved to go grab my phone, they ran straight under the refrigerator. As if the complaints above weren’t enough for us to ever return, the last complaint was. This establishment used to be so well ran and high class. All I can say is wow, we will never return to Belleair Beach Club. It was also talked amongst other guests we had met that they were not returning after this year due to the poor service and lack of...
Read moreWe stayed here in July 2015, our biggest complaint was the cleanliness around the pool area and grounds of the hotel. We decided to give it another try so we stayed there the week of the Easter Holiday Break 2016. I scheduled two rooms back in November 2015. I put both of them on my card and under my name so that we could get rooms that were next door to each other. I called back 2 weeks before our return to verify the room and the details in what I booked. I was told they would be next to each other as previously booked. I also asked if their was a way to get us on the first floor since we are a family with two toddlers. When we checked in they put us on the second floor with no elevator and found out that the other room was 6 doors down on the 1st floor. No where near us. So I asked if they could at least put us on the same floor, they moved them up to the second floor. Two days in we met other families with kids down there and the kids were all having a blast jumping in the water. Had a lady yell out that the kids were being too loud and that she could not enjoy fresh air. It was 3pm in the afternoon. She than kept saying things about people having too many kids and they shouldn't and that we were all ruining her vacation. The manager Gene came down to tell me and only me that the kids were not aloud to jump in the pool, but not the other parents. Two days later Gene was changing the trash near the pool area and other families were allowing their kids to jump in the pool. He never said anything to them. By that time we were told we were not allowed to have towels hanging on the chairs on our porch, but never knocked on anyone elses door and made them moved their towels. He told us the kids were not allowed to walk between rooms until an adult physically took them back and fourth. I then call the manager of the entire hotel to complain that if they would have put us next to the room than that would have never happened. They ended us moving us to a room with a murphy bed and no kitchen that attached to my inlaws room. Me and my husband and my 1 year old slept in the bed and my daughter slept on the couch. The other kids slept on the bed in the other room. We were not offered a discount for switching. Gene was incrediabily rude to our entire family including our kids. I will never stay at such a non kid...
