Mattress Firm Belmont — Hotel in Belmont

My son has been needing a new bigger bed and I was holding out until this month (February), as Mattress Firm always has incredible sales for Presidents Day!!! I had visited their website during the week and was prompted to take a quiz on how my son sleeps (position), back, side, stomach or combo sleeper. Once I completed the quiz, I entered my email address and I was sent the results. The quiz narrowed it down to 3 mattress for us, and each one was a different price range. My son was interested in the Sleepy's By Sealy Memory Foam Plush Mattress in queen size. We visited the store in Belmont NH today at 10am, right when they opened. I told the store manager I had taken the quiz and of the 3 mattresses, she had 2 of the 3 in-store, and one being the Memory Foam mattress!!! She had us go over and see the mattress as well as lay on it to be sure it was exactly what he wanted. We decided to purchase the Memory Foam mattress!! The original price for the mattress was $1649.99, but was on sale for $494.99 because of Presidents Day!! The metal platform was going to be an addition $124. While she was processing and finalizing everything my son was checking out other mattresses and she saw that he was amused with the baseboards that either the head or feet can elevate by remote. She informed me that she had a queen size on the floor for sale and she would gladly sell it to us!! Of course my son scoffed at the idea!!! 🤣 The baseboard was going to be $299, but she took it a step further and knocked $50 off for us!! When everything was said and done we paid a total of $711.00 for both the mattress and the baseboard!! This was an incredible deal and she really went above her call of duty!! This is the second bed set I've purchased from them and I will continue to do business with them because they provide amazing customer service, their mattresses are all they are cracked up to be and more and last forever with insane warranties!!! We are redoing our guest room on a budget. We plan to host folks a few nights a year, so we wanted to have a cost effective but brand new mattress for them to sleep on. Just needing the basics, I looked online and saw that Mattress Firm had a very basic 8" full size spring mattress on sale for $159. I called the Belmont store to see if they had them in stock, and the person on the phone says, "I'm telling you, you don't want that mattress. You wouldn't want to sleep on that for more than one night."

Knowing that I DID in fact want that mattress, we headed up there to pick it up. When we got there the representative was on the phone with another customer. After that she dragged it out of the back and rang us up.. she said, "I hope you brought your own truck." Which we had. As she was doing this I found a cell phone on a mattress by the desk and asked her if someone had left their phone. She told me that it was hers and that she'd been laying down because it was so slow that day. She treated us like a nuisance the whole time. This place is an absolute joke! We bought a mattress after testing the same one out in the store....ended up being nothing like the one in the store. We call to set up and return and the lady tells me "oh ill call you back tomorrow to schedule a return." Two days go by and I never received a phone call, I had to call back and find out what was going on, come to find out my return was never scheduled and she just now put it in! Then they tell us we have to pay to return the mattress, which we were never told when purchasing it, we were told we could return it and get our money back no questions asked. So after they pick up our mattress we were told 3 to 5 business days we will have our money back... a week goes by and we have nothing... so we call and are now told it's 7 to 10 days... when we finally do get our money it's only half of it!!
