The short story: Quiet and nice campground with a few longer term residents, cheap showers but absolutely disgusting. The longer story: We've been boondocking for over a year with no hookups so we thought we'd splurge on a couple nights of unlimited electricity and showers with running hot water. We were medium surprised to find the prices had increased from $15 to $25. We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to fit in our 35' skoolie and Corolla. The neighbors were nice and kept to themselves. The shower stalls were atrocious! 🤢 For an extra $10 per vehicle per night you should be able to afford unlimited Dollar Tree shower curtains and bleach. There was so much mold I chose to wash myself with water from our kettle in our bus instead of shower in there again, after a 12 mile hike. The bathrooms weren't too bad and had a heater on at night. All in all: Give it a shot. Maybe they cleaned the shower room. This place needs more care but is an okay stop.

Was on my way home from Gardnerville, NV to Santa Barbara, CA in my lil RV and decided to stop in Big Pine, Ca to spend the night. I found Glacier View Campground right as I was pulling into town, which was so convenient. It was $25 for the night with electric hook up and a nice view of the mountains. It's a smaller park with restrooms and showers you can pay for. The camp host was very personable and helpful when I had a few questions. Spent a nice quiet evening and was on my way the next morning. I think I will probably stay here again in the future when making my next trip up to see the family.

Came here to camp for the weekend and had a really good time!! The town is about a 10 minute walk down the street, you have amazing views of the night sky, the mountains, if its stormy in the mountains you can see lighting. Very good place to camp in my opinion. One downfall was the ants. He does have ant spray which kinda helps. But i mean who are we kidding it is camping and you will be exposed to the elements and wild life. So either way 5 stars! Btw the host is a really chill guy!

Great host, rustic, older campground and very clean. Ken is a great host and keeps this Campground in good condition. The sites are fairly close together, clean and clear of debris, leaves, etc. Picnic tables, level sites and trash dumpsters are always appreciated. The bathrooms are older but very clean and well stocked. The showers are private with a locking door, very clean and cost $2 for a token that gives you 7 minutes of hot water. No laundry at this campground. There is NO dump station and just water and electric at sites, or dry camp for $5 less. I’d give it 5 stars except there is no sewer dump at this RV campground...go figure. We used the free sewer dump 17 miles north in Bishop at the Arco Station just as you come into town. it’s busy but free and has fresh water. I’d definitely stay at Glacier View...

Located right at the intersection of 395 and CA168, with the Bristlecone Pine info kiosk right next door, this campground is certainly convenient. It's got about 40 spaces with most big enough for RVs (electrical and water hookups but no tank dump). It also has modern restrooms and and two showers (shower is an extra $2). The grounds are very sandy and the earlier reviewer who mentioned ants was not kidding! I stayed for one night. My mistake was piking a site right next to the road. Traffic from 395 was loud and continued all night. There is also a streetlight in the center of the campground that floods the area with light. Aside from the minor drawbacks, this was a fun place to spend a night while in the area. Friendly fellow campers and a super-nice...
